Divekick Addition Edition + on PS4, New Character for PS3, PS Vita

50°
8w ago - Divekick Creator Adam "Keits" Heart announced news today of a Divekick Addition Edition + on PS4, and also a new character incoming for both PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

To quote: Divekick Addition Edition + has finally arrived on PS4! This update to Destructoid's 2013 Fighting Game of the Year is available now for just $9.99. But what is Divekick?

Divekick is the world's first two-button fighting game. It distills the essence of the fighting game genre into just two buttons with no d-pad directional movement.

Divekick's focused gameplay demonstrates how much depth a single move actually has, and introduces (or reinforces) skills fundamental to the genre: mind games, spacing, timing, and quick reactions.

Fans all over the world dove headfirst into Divekick last year and found a very simple to learn, but very difficult to master head to head competitive experience. In fact, weekly online tournaments are still happening to this very day! If you purchased Divekick for PS3 or PS Vita, fear not!

The Addition Edition + update is completely free and will be available to you shortly. You'll be able to enjoy GGPO-powered online cross play, allowing you to fight against players on the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. A world of competition awaits you.

Retro City Rampage: DX Coming to PS4, PS3, PS Vita November 11th

200°
8w ago - VBlank Entertainment Developer Brian Provinciano announced today that Retro City Rampage: DX is coming to PS4, PS3 and PS Vita platforms on November 11th, 2014.

Below are the details, to quote: Retro City Rampage: DX, the top-to-bottom remaster of the original game will make its PS4 debut along with the brand new PS3 and PS Vita DX versions this November 11th, complete with cross buy and cross save for all three consoles.

With a 20% off PlayStation Plus launch week discount, you'll get all three for $7.99 ($9.99 without Plus). That's only around $3 for each platform, and much less than the original RCR's $14.99 launch price.

So What's 'DX,' Exactly?

Those who've been following RCR will know just how much the game has changed since the original launch. Within weeks of the original RCR's 2012 release, updates made vehicles faster, added more checkpoints, tutorials, hints screens, and tweaked missions. Those changes made great improvements, but still just scratched the surface. DX is a top-to-bottom remastering of just about everything.

For DX, every single mission's been re-tuned. Vehicles. Weapons. Challenges. Visual Effects. Visual Enhancements. Checkpoints. Difficulty. Challenges. From the game's core to sprinkles on top, such as parking garages and waypoints,...

8w ago - Nosebleed Interactive's Andreas Firnigl announced today alongside a PS Vita trailer video that The Hungry Horde lurches to PlayStation Vita tomorrow.

To quote: Hey Vita fans! Andreas Firnigl here again. I'm one of the guys at Nosebleed Interactive, the folks bringing you [Register or Login to view links] for PS Vita.

We've been working super hard for the last few months to make the game feel as slick and polished as possible so I'm really excited and proud to finally be able to tell you that you'll be able to race up the leaderboards and compete with friends tomorrow when the game finally rises from the grave... and goes live on PlayStation Store.

In case you missed our first PlayStation.Blog post here's a quick recap on the basics of the game. The core premise is that you play as your very own horde of zombies fighting for survival (a sort of reverse survival horror, I suppose). Humans you "recruit" join your ever increasing horde in a constant race against the clock to escape the area before the military nuke you.

The guys over at XDEV Studio Europe were kind enough to send me over to...
