Video: FIFA 10 Official Electronic Arts Trailer is Available

279w ago - A few weeks back we saw some FIFA 10 GamePlay Footage briefly before Electronic Arts had it taken down due to a copyright claim.

Today, an offical FIFA 10 trailer video is available from Electronic Arts.

Developed by EA Canada, it is published by Electronic Arts worldwide under the EA Sports label. The game will be released on October 2, 2009 in Europe, and October 20, 2009 in North America and Australia.

It will be available for Sony's PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii. Versions of the game will also be released for the Apple iPhone/iPod Touch, Nintendo DS, Nokia N-Gage, Sony PSP and for mobile phones.

The demo is set to be released on September 10, 2009 for PC and on September 11, 2009 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Sony Starts Official Licensing Program for PlayStation Peripherals

287w ago - Today Sony Computer Entertainment announced plans to expand its "Official Licensing Program" to further enhance PlayStation peripherals and accessories for the PSP, PS2 and the PS3.

Press Release: TOKYO, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) today announced the expansion of the "Official License Program" to peripheral manufacturers in Japan, Asia, North America and Europe/ PAL territories to further enhance the PlayStation peripheral and accessory line-ups and offer richer entertainment experience on the PlayStation platform.

By entering into a license agreement with SCE through this program, peripheral and accessory manufacturers will gain access to technical documentations necessary for designing and creating variety of licensed products for PlayStation platforms including PSP(R) (PlayStation(R)Portable) handheld entertainment system, PLAYSTATION(R)3 computer entertainment system and PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system.

Furthermore, SCE will provide "Official Licensed Product logo" to be used on product packages, proving that the peripherals and accessories have been designed for each respective PlayStation platform, qualifying SCE standards and requirements. Official PlayTV Update & Product Presentation Available

288w ago - PlayTV Producer Mark Bunting has detailed some updates today on the European PlayStation Blog, including a Product Presentation video.

To quote: For those of you who are new to PlayTV, here is a little bit of background for you: PlayTV is a combination of a USB tuner and software that you install on your PS3 to watch your favourite free-to-air TV channels and listen to your favourite radio stations.

PlayTV works with terrestrial signals, which basically means the stuff that you will pick up with an aerial and not a dish or cable, the signal needs to be digital as this is the new format.

When we first released PlayTV, we enabled Remote Play which allowed you to use PlayTV via a Wi-Fi point anywhere in the world. There are some good instructions on how to do this in the online manual.





Right now, I'm working with the guys from Sony Ericsson to support their new mobile phone, the Aino, which will allow the same remote play functionality that you can get with the PSP. I am lucky enough to have one of these for testing and it's a very nice phone.

E3 2009: Final Fantasy XIV Official Site Launches

291w ago - One of Sony's biggest shockers at E3's press conference was Final Fantasy XIV, the next iteration in the online Final Fantasy series to be released exclusively on PlayStation 3 and PC. The new online game takes place in the vast realm of Eorzea.

The [Register or Login to view links] for Final Fantasy XIV has launched today as well. Screenshots as well as the trailer for the game are currently up on the site.

The game is currently scheduled for a simultaneous global release in 2010 with language support in Japanese, English, French and German.
