124w ago - Giant Sparrow Creative Director Ian Dallas has announced today alongside a video trailer that The Unfinished Swan is coming to PlayStation Network with details below.

To quote: If you've ever heard of [Register or Login to view links] before I'd like to start by saying I'm sorry.

Back in 2008, when we posted videos of the [Register or Login to view links] online, a lot of people got really excited. And then a few years went by without another word. So if you've been wondering "whatever happened to that weird black and white painting game?" thanks for waiting!

If this is all new to you, here's the gist: The Unfinished Swan is a first-person painting game that begins in a totally white space. You throw globs of paint to explore the world around you.

In the game you're a boy named Monroe who's chasing after a swan. The swan stepped out of a painting and has wandered off into a surreal, unfinished world. Here's what it looks like:

So what have we been doing these last few years? Judging from our [Register or Login to view links], mostly we've been having team lunches and then posing for photos. Which is partly true....

The publisher's US arm, NIS America, announced three new PS3-exclusive games set to roll out over the next calendar year: dungeon crawler Legasista, strategy-RPG Mugen Souls, and action-RPG The Witch and the Hundred Knights.

We sat down with NIS America Producer Jack Niida to learn more about each of the new titles. Enjoy, and leave your thoughts in the comments.

Legasista for PS3 (PSN)

This post-apocalyptic 2D-styled dungeon crawler – NIS America is describing it as a "survival action-RPG" – takes place in a far-flung future where science has been forgotten and technology is treated with superstitious awe.

The gameplay and concept will be familiar to fans of the ClaDun series, but Legasista ups the ante by enabling you to customize your weapon and skills, creating "thousands of attack combos." This PS3-exclusive...

Video: Sony Putting the Finishing Touches on Starhawk for PS3

130w ago - Sony Senior Producer Harvard Bonin has shared a video today of the finishing touches being put on Starhawk for PS3 below.

To quote: Recently, the PlayStation.Blog paid a visit to our good friends and partner LightBox Interactive in Austin, Texas during SXSW.

While there, we unlocked the vault and loosened the chains on Mr. Dylan Jobe, LightBox President and CEO. That can be a very dangerous prospect as we never know what we're going to get, it's also fun to hear about all the details on the Starhawk front, including how the public beta affected the game's development. The teams at LightBox and Santa Monica are working incredibly hard to make sure the Starhawk experience is everything the fans deserve.

To give you some insight into that process, Dylan has some thoughts about "crunch time," fans, and game-typy stuff. Starhawk is headed in for a landing and this is a cool look into the mind of a developer at the peak of his game. Check it out!

PS. While you're at it, check out this blast-from-the-past [Register or Login to view links] about the team.

Video: EA Announces Grand Slam Tennis 2 Moves to PS3 Today

135w ago - EA Sports Producer Nate McDonald has shared a video below announcing that Grand Slam Tennis 2 is moving to PS3 today.

To quote: Hey everyone, Nate McDonald here, one of the producers for EA SPORTS Grand Slam Tennis 2.

This is an exciting post for me to write because after a lot of hard work by a great group of people here at EA Canada, we are ready to launch this franchise to you on the PlayStation 3 platform!

Given that this was our first venture into the tennis genre on next gen, we really wanted to focus on developing a well-rounded title, with fun and innovative controls, high quality detailed graphics and presentation for all of the players and courts, and enough feature depth to keep you coming back for more, whether it be single player, multi-player, or online.

I have to say that developing our All-New Total Racquet Control system was the most challenging, but also ended up being the most rewarding.

We are really proud of this new innovative control scheme, and although it will take a little bit of practice to get used to it, we think that you will really enjoy the amount of fidelity that you have in the controls and how precise you can be.

Don't forget, that feeling...
