Video: Save the World! PlayStation Move Party Game Trailer

50°
95w ago - Sony European Product Manager Erica Doddato has shared a video trailer today for the PlayStation Move party game Start the Party's sequel dubbed Save the World!

To quote: Following on from the 2010 Move-exclusive smash-hit Start The Party! comes a heroic sequel that will turn every party into a race to save the world.

Packed with over 20 fun filled mini-games, Start The Party! Save the World! puts you, your friends and family into the heart of the action and on the screen.

The evil Dr Terrible has gone berserk and is trying to destroy the world - use your PlayStation Move to stop him!

See how with the trailer below:

Get your face in the game and interact with some wacky objects that will appear straight into your living room: save stranded divers, defuse bombs before they explode, splat shoals of mutant piranhas, do battle with dinosaurs and zap alien invaders out of the sky.

As you can see, they are pretty dangerous missions - but no need to worry: you can always ask your friends and family to help out.

Every mini-game can be enjoyed in two types of multi-player mode: pass the controller to get your friends into the action or use both a motion controller...

Video: LittleBigPlanet 2 PS3 Move Pack Live Demo at Gamescom

50°
96w ago - Sony's Senior Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has posted up a LittleBigPlanet 2 PS3 Move Pack live demo video from this year's Gamescom event in Germany.

To quote: A few weeks ago, our Sid Shuman delivered an in-depth report on LittleBigPlanet 2's upcoming Move Pack.

In short, the Move Pack adds a wealth of new play styles, game genres, and imaginative new Story levels. And it even gives the game's celebrated Create mode a major shot in the arm.

This morning in Cologne, Germany we ran into a couple of Media Molecule members at breakfast (the pastries were delicious). We asked if they'd be interested in running us through the new tools on camera. Media Molecule Level Design Lead Kengo Kurimoto stepped forward with a quick demo.

How cool was that cel-shaded Sackboy? That's one of six new costumes based on iconic art, and it's included when the Move Pack drops next month.

MotorStorm Apocalypse PS3 Mode Editor, Steering Wheels & Move

50°
97w ago - SCEA Producer Daimion Pinnock has detailed the MotorStorm Apocalypse PS3 Mode Editor, steering wheels and PlayStation Move support today as follows:

To get this latest update, simply fire up MotorStorm Apocalypse while connected to PSN and you'll be prompted to download the update.

Design Your Own Game Modes

The new Mode Editor allows you to create your own fun game modes within the MotorStorm template and then play them straight away with other players (online and offline).

The possibilities are vast: Tweak the standard Race mode so that vehicle attacks are disabled...or set-up a five-round Eliminator mode, on mirrored tracks, for 15 Monster Trucks and 1 Buggy, with moon gravity, infinite boost and no brakes... or do something completely unexpected - we can't wait to see what you come up with!

Share Your Customized Vehicle

Customize and share your proudest vehicle designs with your friends via motorstorm.com, and download any that you like the look of from the website to apply to any of the vehicles in your collection - they automatically work across all vehicle types.

Sharing your personalized vehicles is simple: upload them from MotorStorm Apocalypse to your personal Profile area...

Hands-on with LittleBigPlanet 2's PlayStation Move PS3 Pack

50°
99w ago - Today Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman went hands-on with LittleBigPlanet 2's PlayStation Move PS3 Pack, with all the details below as follows:

Formally announced at PlayStation's E3 2011 press conference, the upcoming PlayStation Move Pack for LittleBigPlanet 2 will greatly expand the game's already prodigious creation suite and add countless new gameplay variants.

Based on my hands-on time, PlayStation Move support radically evolves the gameplay possibilities of LittleBigPlanet 2, whether it's flinging and manipulating objects using the new Brain Crane power-up, creating outlandish Move-focused minigames from scratch, or animating characters and props by recording your PlayStation Move gestures.

"It's the biggest update we've ever done," Media Molecule's Level Design Lead Kengo Kurimoto told me during a guided tour of the update last week in New York City.

When the Move Pack hits PSN this September, LBP2 owners will find six new Story levels in a Move-focused mini-campaign that picks up where LBP2 left off. One of the most significant gameplay enhancements comes as a potent new power-up called the Brain Crane.

Like a telepathic revamp of the Power Gloves, the Brain Crane enables Sackboy to pick up and manipulate objects with nothing but...

Video: Sony Announces Move.me App Hits PlayStation Store Today

100°
99w ago - Sony Developer Support Senior Engineer John McCutchan announced that their new PS3 Move.me software application hits the PlayStation Store today, and is free to both students and educators!

To quote: At this year's Game Developers Conference we unveiled Move.me, a new software application that runs on the PS3 system and gives researchers, students, and programmers access to PlayStation Move's technology for developing apps beyond traditional gaming -- physical therapy, sports rehabilitation, or education.

Move.me enables anyone with a PS3 to experiment with PlayStation Move and create new applications using a PC, the PlayStation Move motion controller, the PlayStation Eye camera, and the PS3 system.

Later today, Move.me will be available as a complimentary download for members of Academia including Academic researchers, faculty, staff, and students. Interested participants can apply for the Academia Program here. For all other users, Move.me will be available later today on the PlayStation Store for $99.99.

We're already seeing a tremendous response to Move.me in the academic community. Some of those developers with early access to the application recently gave us an inside scoop on their work. Check out the video above for...
