225w ago - German site VideogamesZone.de (linked above) has shared some 'leaked' footage from GamesCom 2009 of Modern Warfare 2 over the weekend.
Apparently a visitor just recorded the video, which shows some scenes from the Modern Warfare 2 presentation... and an unusual ending.
To quote, roughly translated: On the GamesCom presentation of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 demo filming was strictly prohibited.
When some visitors do not seem quite so closely watched, one records the video... Strange that the protagonist of the game dies, not by a bullet hail of enemy troops, but in a crash with the snowmobile.
After that incident the demonstrator aborted the presentation. Watch till end.

227w ago - Today French site PS3Gen (linked above) have posted what reportedly is a leaked document which appears to confirm both a PS3 Slim model and PS3 price drop this September.
The document is available below and to quote, roughly translated:
"Now Slim or PS3 price drop? Both, Sir!
Several contacts "unofficial" we have confirmed that the two first arrived in September. Slim version is already present in the database under the name "PlayStation 3 SLIM and is posted to 299 €.
No real news for the current version but it seems impossible that his price is not revised downwards otherwise, it would sell more. The Slim is even informally already pre-booked in some shops!
It should be noted that other "offers" PS3 is scheduled for the end of the year after the planning, but it would be, according to our sources, bundles and other offers promotions that are specifically made by this retailer.
This announces Gamescom much spice, and a very nice beginning!"
228w ago - Square Enix is taking a liking to teaser sites, amongst other companies like Atlus and Cyberconnect 2, in doing countdowns for reveals of Front Mission Evolved for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Final Fantasy Gaiden for DS and more.
Today, however, a new PS3 teaser site comes in as follows:
Titled "0807", the new teaser site features nothing but the words "VII Days" and a countdown timer that ends in approximately twelve hours.
We're guessing this is going to follow in the shoes of Hideo Kojima's countdown timer and start a new countdown in twelve hours considering that the date in the title of the page is August 7th, which is seven days from now.
While searching through the flash site, rykomatsu of PSU has also uncovered some new leaked concept art (below).
228w ago - Update: A Microsoft spokesperson has confirmed to Neowin: "We are aware of reports of activation exploits that attempt to circumvent activation & validation in Windows 7, and we can assure customers that Microsoft is committed to protecting them from counterfeit and pirated software.
Microsoft strongly advises customers not to download Windows 7 from unauthorized sources. Downloading Windows 7 from peer-to-peer Web sites is piracy, and exposes users to increased risks - such as viruses, Trojans and other malware and malicious code–that usually accompany counterfeit software."
Despite Microsoft firing a warning to pirates earlier this year, the anti-piracy tools built into Windows 7 appear to have been beaten by a leaked OEM master key obtained from a Windows 7 Ultimate OEM DVD belonging to system manufacturer Lenovo.
The leaked disc image first surfaced on a Chinese forum, and has since made its way across the globe where users are quickly using the master key to activate machines of any brand.
Proving that the hack does actually work, users...
