167w ago - Today SCEA PR Manager Eric Levine has announced that LittleBigPlanet 2 on PS3 now officially launches on January 18, 2011 in North America.
To quote: As you may have heard today, Media Molecule shared some news regarding the release date of LittleBigPlanet 2.
Obviously this is a big blow to our LittleBigPlanet fans, but we're sure you'll understand our decision. As we focus on a 2011 release for our North American, Canadian, and Latin America consumers, we look forward to releasing LittleBigPlanet 2 on January 18th, 2011.
Please keep an eye out for more game details and updates as we move closer to our launch.
LittleBigPlanet 2 is a crazy dream, a dream to allow players to make whatever kind of game they want, but also to play though a great adventure of drama and excitement, power-ups, and cinematics. But like all of the most ambitious ideas, it can be a considerable challenge to turn these dreams in fun games.
We've all been working like powered-up space ninjas and we're almost there, but because we love what we've made, and we love our...
168w ago - Krome Studios Creative Director Steve Stamatiadis has announced today that Blade Kitten launches this week on PlayStation Network.
To quote: The game is just about to finally hit the PlayStation Network and you'll be able to try it out, buy it and enjoy it. Pretty cool, huh?
We said originally that the game would be out spring this year and technically is still is since it's just turned spring here in Australia, and it's already been a beautiful start to the season. See, we kept our word... sort of. Why did it take so long? Well we had the awesome good fortune of Atari... yes THAT Atari, picking up Blade Kitten.
Not only has that allowed us to make the game even better, but being published by Atari has a very special significance for me personally.
See back when I was about 13, I got my first computer: an Atari 400 (with all of 16K of memory, that's less than the average icon or avatar image). So as you can imagine having the Atari logo at the start of the game just makes it all that much more cooler to me. So a BIG thanks to Atari for coming on board.
It's been an exciting and challenging time bringing Blade Kitten to life from idea to comic to final game reality. Though it's been more than a few years in the making,...

Please Note: You MUST have a MAG retail disc in your PlayStation 3 in order for the MAG Beta client to work

173w ago - Approximately nine months have passed since the PlayStation 2 was launched in Brazil, and now Sony has made the PS3 Slim 120GB console available there for around $1,130 USD each.
Believe it or not, that is actually $278 less than originally planned from Sony Style stores for the South American country, as Anderson Gracias explains via Kotaku (linked above), to quote:
"According to Anderson Gracias, division manager of Sony PlayStation Brazil, the original price was to be 2,499 Brazil Reais, or $1,408. In order to stay competitive with the Xbox 360, which sells for R $999 to R $1,599 in the country, Sony is subsidizing part of the cost.
Brazil will get the PlayStation Network in three phases, beginning in 2011 with a Portuguese translation. Then Brazilian content will be added, and finally the service will be tweaked to work with the services available in the country."
