Video: Hands-on with Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix on PS3

33w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements shared a video today that goes hands-on with Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix on PS3.

To quote: When we are older, you'll understand what I meant when I said, 'No, I don't think life is quite that simple.'

So sang Hikaru Utada in her beloved single that opened the original Kingdom Hearts in September of 2002. And so she sings again in this upcoming HD update that famously twisted together the fates of Square Enix characters with Disney icons.

And the lyrics offer a pointed commentary on the re-release, as the narrative of Kingdom Hearts was never quite that simple. And perhaps that's why we love it so much.

Kingdom Hearts begins innocently enough, with a young boy named Sora spending time with his friends, Riku and Kairi. But soon their world, and perhaps all worlds, are threatened by a malignant darkness. Sora, as our intrepid hero, is promptly pulled into the intrigue.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix is an incredible collection for fans of the series, and a perfect entrypoint for those that missed the original. It includes the "Final Mix" version of the first Kingdom Hearts, which was never launched in the United States.

This version includes new enemies, items, and other assorted goodies. But now,...

Wasteland Kings is Hitting PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in 2014

34w ago - Vlambeer's Rami Ismail announced today at Gamescom 2013 that Wasteland Kings is hitting PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in 2014.

To quote: Vlambeer has been around for almost three years.

It's sort of a weird realization for the two of us that the past three years of our lives – practically every moment after we decided to run a games company full time - has been dedicated to making the games people know us for.

It's been an amazing run that's taken us from extreme highs to emotional lows, and introduced us to so many amazing people - whether they're developers or industry or fans.

Vlambeer is something weird. You see, the two of us are polar opposites. Whereas JW is an artistic and creative force full of weird ideas, I tend to do business and programming. If you've ever put two people like that in a single room, you know they don't tend to get along well.

That was true for the two of us as well, and we created this third person that resulted from the collision between us. That third person is what Vlambeer truly is - it's neither Jan Willem nor me. It's a separate "person."

The reason I'm explaining all this is because it is important to explain what the game we just announced for PS4 and PS Vita is.

Vlambeer started in September 2010....

35w ago - Telltale Games Community Lead Laura Perusco shared a video today announcing that The Walking Dead on PlayStation Vita is officially out tomorrow!

To quote: Antsy to get your hands on The Walking Dead for PS Vita? The wait is over!

Look out for PS Vita versions of all five episodes of The Walking Dead Season One, PLUS the special 400 Days DLC episode, in the PlayStation Store tomorrow (The bundle will also be available!).

This version is an awesome way to experience The Walking Dead, whether you're dipping your toe into the water for the first time, or looking to catch up on any episodes you might have missed. Even if you've already played through the whole season on PS3, there's an additional set of Trophies for playing the series on PS Vita.

We've even added some special features just for PS Vita: you can play with analog controls and face buttons, or get a little more intimate with the interaction by switching to touchscreen only.

Remember, fans of the series should keep those save files, because Season Two is expected to hit PS Vita later this year as well. Hope you're ready for the portable undead onslaught!

Video: Cloudberry Kingdom Lands on PlayStation Network Today

37w ago - Pwnee Studios President and Co-Founder Jordan Fisher announced alongside a video trailer that Cloudberry Kingdom lands on PlayStation Network today.

To quote: Take a second and watch the below video. I never watch videos in blog posts - it takes too long and I've been spoiled by GIFs. But seriously, just watch it. None of this post will make sense otherwise.

I needed you to see that before I continued. You see, we've made the hardest, most stupidly ridiculous hardcore game ever. And we're sorry. Kind of.

We even called it a happy name like Cloudberry Kingdom to help ease the pain. But before I actually try apologizing for real, let me take a step back and defend myself.

I'll be making use of the traditional Socratic Straw Man Method for my defense: below, you'll find your unsound critiques highlighted in bold, with my impenetrable defense following. Afterward I may apologize.

Let's start with the first reason for why you're upset. "Being hard for the sake of being hard is stupid, therefore this game is stupid."

Woah. First of all, I Wanna Be The Guy has already proven in my mind that everyone wants a brutally unfair game with invisible spikes and hidden platforms that change location...
