Watch The Latest Starhawk Trailer on Facebook, Get Free PS3 DLC

200°
106w ago - SCEA Product Marketing Manager Chuck Lacson has announced today that fans can watch the latest Starhawk video trailer on Facebook and get free PS3 DLC to boot.

To quote: You may have noticed how our past trailers have focused on the things that make Starhawk so much fun to play.

Build to Kill was all about the fun of building a base and defending it against attack. Ride, Drive & Fly gave people a taste of what you can drive and pilot in-game.

Our latest trailer is all about the fun of teamwork, it's called "Build Your Team" and it's exclusively on Facebook.

Just click here to give it a view. You may recognize some familiar faces. Very familiar.

For those of you who have tried Starhawk already, you know that skills can get you far, but teamwork can get you further. The game becomes something completely different when you play with your friends and start working together. That's what our latest trailer is about. It also stars an "interesting" cast of characters....

Don't Get Crushed v1.1 PS3 Homebrew Game Update is Released

100°
138w ago - Today PlayStation 3 developer ThatOtherDev has updated his initial release of the PS3 homebrew game Don't Get Crushed to version 1.1 for CFW users.

Download: Don't Get Crushed v1.1 PS3 Homebrew Game

To quote: Here is an update to something I made for PS3 ages ago. It was originally made with the official SDK but it has now been remade with PSL1GHT and will work perfectly fine on CFW (is it still not possible to run the old stuff from the days of Jailbreak devices unmodified on CFW without getting an 80010009 error?).

There have been a handful of changes. Everything speeds up slightly as your score increases. The game pauses when the XMB is brought up. The text is larger and has a different font. There are a lot of other alterations but it is all minor stuff.

The one very noticeable change is that it has returned to being played with the analog sticks (you can use either one) instead of being sixaxis motion controlled. I wasn't able to get the motion controls working (I have been having bad luck with controls lately lol). I would greatly appreciate it if anyone want's to point me in the direction of an...

Resistance 3 Gets PS Move, Sharp Shooter and Stereoscopic 3D

400°
160w ago - Insomniac Games Senior Community Manager James Stevenson has revealed today that Resistance 3 for PS3 will be getting PlayStation Move, Sharp Shooter and Stereoscopic 3D support!

To quote: Today we are finally able reveal, due to overwhelming community demand, that Resistance 3 will support Stereoscopic 3DTV.

Furthermore, those of you who are enjoying the precision of the PlayStation Move motion controller with your copies of Killzone 3 and the SOCOM 4 Beta will be delighted to know that Resistance 3 will also support PlayStation Move and the sharp shooter.

After Killzone 3 launched, we heard a massive amount of positive feedback, and were inundated with requests to support both PlayStation Move and sharp shooter. So we're glad to be able to finally confirm the news!

As you can see, our founder Ted Price and Resistance 3 Creative Director Marcus Smith are so pumped that they found 3D glasses and grabbed sharp shooters to pose for a photo (though we had to remind them that they need the cool high-tech stereoscopic 3D glasses to actually play, not those old "red-blue" ones).

Resistance 3 hits your PS3 and 3D TV on September 6th, so have your sharp shooter ready! In the meantime, if you want to hear about all the latest happenings at our community day, follow...

Video: Get Your Groove on in SOCOM 4 for PlayStation 3

50°
161w ago - Zipper Interactive Community Specialist Chris Roper has posted up a video today showcasing how fans can get their groove on in SOCOM 4 for the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.

To quote: The SOCOM franchise is no stranger to intense online competition, the sort of frantic rivalries that bring out plenty of gloating for the victors.

Fans know that the series has catered to these sorts of moments with built-in victory dances, and the soldiers of SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs sure do know their way around the dance floor.

Available in online competitive matches, SOCOM 4′s victory dances are triggered by pressing the Circle button while standing over a fallen enemy. There are more than a dozen dances in the game, including:

The Chicken
Sure to be a hit with fans of Arrested Development, your soldier makes chicken wings with his arms and waves them up and down, bobs his head forward and backward and digs at the dirt with his foot.

The Robot
Essentially an over-exaggerated version of what it looks like every time C3PO talks.

The Crane
Exactly like Daniel-san's finishing move from The Karate Kid, the soldier raises both hands into the air, lefts one knee up slowly and then...
