154w ago - The Managing Director of Guerrilla Games, Hermen Hulst has presented today the first gameplay trailer from Killzone 3 for the PS3, made completely of in-game footage.

To quote: Today we're proud to present the first gameplay trailer for Killzone 3. What you are about to see is a trailer made completely out of in-game footage, taken from the game's fourth mission, called "Frozen Shores."

Killzone 3 will take you to dangerous new corners of the Helghast home planet, and reveal that its environments are far more diverse than ISA Command had previously believed.





In addition to the larger and more varied environments, Killzone 3 also introduces a brutal melee system and plenty of awesome new battle gear, including the Helghast jetpack and the WASP missile launcher demonstrated in the trailer.

155w ago - For those who can't wait until this fall to experience Sony's PlayStation Move and Move Party first hand, user H0yTecnologia has shared a new gameplay footage video of it in action via YouTube today.

Although PlayStation Move is implemented on the existing PlayStation 3 console, Sony states that it is treating Move's debut as its own major "platform launch," planning an aggressive marketing campaign to support it.

In addition to selling the controllers individually, Sony also plans to provide several different bundle options for PlayStation Move hardware, such as a starter kit with a PS Eye, a Move motion controller, and motion-control enabled software, priced under $100 US.

To quote from the video's caption, roughly translated: "In HoyTecnologia have had the opportunity to test the Alpha version of peripherals and Sony has done a very good impression."

158w ago - A few months ago we saw the teaser trailer followed by some Alpha Splash Hill Zone Gameplay, and today some new Sonic 4 Mad Gear Zone Act 2 video footage has been leaked.

To quote: "The level recorded is Act 2 of the Mad Gear Zone level. Mad Gear Zone is based on Sonic 2's Metropolis Zone.

The seven minute long video is below for your delectation. It's obviously not going to be in super high-definition 1080p in fullscreen but it's fine (best watching it without fullscreening it since the video gets stretched & definition gets lost when Sonic is flinging himself around)."

158w ago - Electronic Arts is launching their new one-time online pass registration program to enhance the sales of new EA Sports titles, while offering the pass with used video games for $10.

The move is designed to offer additional downloadable content to members that sign up with the purchase of a new game in the form of exclusive content and matchmaking tournament opportunities.

EA plans on unveiling the Pass with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, and will subsequently release the Pass for all EA sports titles.

To quote: "EA Sports boss Peter Moore spoke highly of the new direction in online subscription-based downloadable content: "This is an important inflection point in our business, because it allows us to accelerate our commitment to enhance premium online services to the entire robust EA Sports online community."

Many gamers might look at this and think that GameStop would be against the trend, but even more would be surprised to hear that GameStop is looking at this as an opportunity. "This relationship allows us to capitalize on our investments to market and sell downloadable content online, as well as through our network of stores worldwide," said GameStop president Dan DeMatteo.

164w ago - Today Nintendo has updated the Metroid.com Web site with a brand new trailer video featuring gameplay from the upcoming Wii game Metroid: Other M.

The video can be seen below courtesy of nintendolife via YouTube, with only a few months to go until the game is released in the US (this summer) followed by Europe later in the year.

The game takes place between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. Other M opens with a cinematic showing the final battle with Mother Brain at the conclusion of Super Metroid.

After escaping the exploding Planet Zebes, Samus awakens on a Galactic Federation ship. After leaving, she receives a distress call from a dormant "Bottle Ship", which is floating a short distance away from a Federation vessel.

Upon stepping into the ship, Samus encounters a group of GF soldiers, led by Anthony Higgs, who fought alongside her before she left the GF military. She also meets Adam Malkovich, who used to be her commanding officer when she was in the Federation Army.

Something happened that caused Samus to leave the army, causing Adam to be standoffish and guarded, calling Samus an "outsider" and ordering his team not to reveal any details of their mission to her.
