In keeping with our Red Valentines theme this month... we release another red themed app. Tonight, in our second release we bring you a second handy app that continues our commitment to the removal or the need for ANY dongles. A simple app that should likely make it into everyone's PS3 tool set. An XMB application that places the PS3 into factory service mode. Now, You can now throw away that downgrade dongle! 96w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has outlined how to download PSP titles to PS Vita today for those curious, with details below as follows:
PS Vita will begin making its way into gamers' hands in just a few short days! Day one Vita owners will have many, many games to choose from, with 25 titles announced for launch on February 22nd.
Actually, make that 26 – Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus is now a confirmed launch title as well.
If you're being thorough, however, that number is off by a bit... like by 90%. Hundreds of classic PSP titles and minis will also be available to play on PS Vita on day one via the PlayStation Store. Even better, if you've already downloaded a compatible PSP title, you can download it directly onto your PS Vita at no extra cost (please note that some limitations do apply).
There are a couple of ways to get these PSP games onto your PS Vita:
Purchase PSP games from PS Vita's PlayStation Store and download via WiFi directly to your system. If you've already purchased a game via PSN from the list below, you can redownload it from the Download List.
If you've already got one of these games sitting on your PS3 XMB (or have purchased from the PS3's PlayStation Store), you can connect your PS Vita to the PS3 via the included...
101w ago - Today Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has announced that Silent Hill: Downpour is coming full circle on the PS3 entertainment system in an interview below.
To quote: I'm a sucker for horror games, so I jumped at a recent opportunity to watch a short demo of Konami's upcoming PS3 survival-horror epic Silent Hill: Downpour.
In a development applauded by series fans, Downpour strongly emphasizes creeping psychological horror over the twitchy action of recent entries like Silent Hill: Homecoming.
You play as Murphy, a maximum-security inmate with a deeply troubled past. You awaken on the fringes of the cursed town of Silent Hill after your prison transport bus crashes.
True to Silent Hill form, you'll spend the rest of the game evading the town's monstrous denizens while piecing together Murphy's deepest secrets – including the dark truths that brought him to Silent Hill.
I spoke with Producer Devin Shatsky, who answered some key questions while playing through the first section of the game. If you have questions, leave them in the comments and I'll do my best to get you answers!
PlayStation.Blog: From an interface perspective, how is Downpour different from the last game in the series, Homecoming?
104w ago - Codemasters Community Manager Ian Webster has made available some fresh video footage today introducing DiRT Showdown for the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.
To quote: We're very excited to be able to reveal to you the latest title in our award-winning DiRT series: DiRT Showdown!
Before I tell you a bit more about the game, take a look at our newly released announcement trailer to give you an idea of the kind of high-octane action you can expect to see in the game.
DiRT Showdown is due out on PS3 in May 2012, and is brought to you by the same team that brought you the other titles in the award-winning DiRT series. The game combines pick-up-and-play controls with electrifying events, frenzied crowds, and stunning graphics to deliver high-octane, dive in and drive thrills straight from the first event.
The game's going to feature three main disciplines built around the pillars of speed, style and destruction. To help illustrate what I'm talking about, here's a broad breakdown of the three disciplines in question.
No holds barred racing events: Trade paint and use nitrous to blast past rivals in DiRT Showdown's racing modes. Courses are littered with obstacles, pinch points,...
