We already know of Netflix's plans to stream to Sony Bravia TV Sets, and in the past both a survey and CNET have hinted that Netflix may be coming to Sony's PlayStation 3 console.

Today, according to the Associated Press, Netflix stocks are riding high after management announced they'll soon be extending their "watch instantly" Internet streaming service to a new "device."

Just what is this device? Netflix isn't telling - not yet, anyway. As of now, they've only hinted that it's "already owned by a large number of consumers." This, of course, has revivified speculation that the service will soon become available for the PlayStation 3 or Wii.

In fact, analysts are already betting the device they're referring to will either be the PS3 or Wii. To be sure,...

01/10: Fieldrunners (NHP English): a port directly from the iPhone, fans of Warcraft III are familiar with the principle of this game that will ask you decimate waves of enemies across a field where you positioned the elements responsible for the defense of the land. 01/10: Gran Turismo PSP: four years of waiting for the arrival of simulation racing final. If it welcomes the technical title, the majority of testing it as a pretty shell, in case of total lack of career mode. Remember to take your information before buying under penalty of huge disappointment.

195w ago - For a mere $4,000 the JVL Encore HD offers an integrated 22" LCD touchscreen, a hi-fi audio system, overhead lighting, a coin slot, and a selection of over 130 games, although if you're looking for Halo, Mario Kart or Madden, you'll be disappointed.

To quote: "It's a home version of commercial bar-top puzzle game machines, and offers "gem-swapping puzzles, poker matches, Sudoku challenges and trivia-based digital diversions," according to USA Today's Game Hunters.

Game Hunters also liked the system's flashy looks and its thumping five-speaker sounds, but its basic graphics aren't going to impress gamers used to machines made in the last few years, and surprisingly (for a machine that boasts the HD moniker) only 11 of its games are in high definition."

195w ago - Naughty Dog's Senior Manager of Marketing Communications Arne Meyer has announced today that Uncharted 2 for PS3 was dubbed GamesCom's best console game.

To quote: Just last week, one of our Senior Character Artists, Hanno, and I hopped on a plane to head over to Cologne, Germany, to work at Europe's biggest videogames show, Gamescom. It turns out that we absolutely had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.

This was the first European show for Hanno and myself, as we had never been to the Leipzig Games Convention in the previous years. We weren't prepared at all on how huge gamescom was - not only in importance, but in sheer physical size.

There were four different halls at the Koelnmesse where games were being shown and EACH hall was about the same size of an airplane hangar. The PlayStation booth was probably one of the biggest booths we've ever seen and was split into four main sections representing racing games, family games, social entertainment and an 18+ area.

We were looking forward to going to Germany since we were hand-carrying over something really special with us - a fresh set of Blu-ray disks that would allow anyone at gamescom to have the first hands-on gameplay ever with the single player campaign of UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves!

195w ago - The PS3 Slim was reported as running on 34% less power than the previous 'fat' PlayStation 3 model, however, that figure is inaccurate.

CNET's Crave (linked above) decided not to take Sony's press releases at their word, and instead plugged a Slim into machines to test its actual power output. And their findings are a little surprising!

The Slim uses a lot less power than Sony have given it credit for. In standby mode, it's around 70% more efficient, while playing games and Blu-Rays its just over 50% more efficient.

In relative terms, it appears the PS3 Slim is now a lot more efficient than it's fatter, older, more wasteful brother. Those interested can check out the Power Consumption chart below!
