204w ago - Today the release date of Gran Turismo 5 for PS3 has been confirmed as November 27, 2009.

Yesterday it was spotted on Play.com, and upon contacting them this is the reply PS3Hype received, roughly translated:

"Please be advised that the release date currently listed on the Web site, the 27th November 2009, is as given to us by the publisher/manufacturer of the game.

Should this release date change we will update the website accordingly, so it is worth checking Play.com periodically."

This date is given by Sony Computer Entertainment or by Polyphony Digital, meaning that Gran Turismo 5 is finally able to played this year!

206w ago - In a recent interview with Shigeru Miyamoto, it has been confirmed that the new Super Mario Bros for Wii will be the first title to include a new "demo play" feature.

With it, players can pause at any level and let the game take over to complete it on its own and resume playing at anytime.

To quote: "In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, if a player is experiencing an area of difficulty, this will allow them to clear troubled areas and take over when they're ready" confirmed Miyamoto, through his translator.

"And yes, we're looking into this for future games, too" Miyamoto says.

That means young kids no longer need to Google for cheats, purchasing strategy guides or even need to work hard to get to the next level.

207w ago - It was confirmed by Hideo Kojima himself, Metal Gear Solid will now be on the Xbox 360 and the next game will be called Metal Gear Solid: Rising. It will revolve around Raiden.

This now means that if a game like Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out again with the same capacity used the Xbox 360 version will need at least 2 discs, most likely 3.

208w ago - Today James Gallagher, content producer for SCEE, has officially revealed through a reply to a comment on the EU PlayStation.Blog that the SCEA press conference will be available to watch in PlayStation Home.

To quote: You will be able to watch the SCEA press conference in Home, in a new space called the Presentation Podium.
