163w ago - Today Activision has officially announced Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops, which is available for pre-order and slated to arrive on video game consoles around November 9, 2010.

The official Web site has now gone live, and UK retailer GAME has revealed CoD7 will be set, to quote, from "Cuba to the Arctic and the jungles of Vietnam."

Treyarch previously developed Call of Duty: World at War for the Nintendo Wii, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, however, no platforms have yet been confirmed for the upcoming release.

Finally, the trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops will debut later tonight on GameTrailers TV.

172w ago - Activision has announced their plans to expand the Call of Duty brand following the publisher's dismissal of Infinity Ward studio leads Jason West and Vince Zampella, who have now been confirmed as no longer being with the company.

A new game in the Call of Duty series will be released some time in 2011 and will be handled by newly formed Activision studio Sledgehammer Games, lead by Dead Space veterans Glen A. Schofield and Michael Condrey.

While Infinity Ward continue working on downloadable map packs for Modern Warfare 2, Treyarch - the studio behind World at War - will stillrelease their Call of Duty game this autumn.

According to the presser, the Sledgehammer Games title is an "action-adventure" game meaning fans may actually be able to expect two Call of Duty titles in 2011.

Beyond the two CoD titles, Activision also announced their plans to look at new genres for the franchise as well as branching out into the Asian market with the lucrative series.

183w ago - Today TheUnkn0wn from the NGU forums (linked above) has released a Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 CVAR Tool v2.0 for PS3.

This tool allows you mod your SAVEGAME.SVG file so you can have things like super jump, infinate ammo, infinate health, all weapons and much more.

This is ONLY FOR SINGLE PLAYER AND SPEC-OPS. I copied a list of the CVARs (commands) and in the screen shot you can see how you enter the CVARs. Not sure what all commands do but you can experiment with the commands and different values.

Changes in v2.0
I have fixed the 'Fix Checksum', it should now work properly.

I have modified the CVAR's in the CVAR List. Bugs that made 2 byte values create an incompatible gamesave have been fixed!

Why Release?
I am the first to do this aswell as reverse the checksum myself, as I have been able to do this for quite a while. I just thought I might aswell release it as there's nothing special about it.
