100°
315w ago - Engadget (linked above) writes: Hey, pal - remember that 160GB PS3 Drake's Fortune bundle we told you about back in August?

Well thanks to the totally awesome skills of one intrepid reader, we now know that they're available for purchasing pleasure at your local Best Buy (and other spots, we like to imagine).

From what we can tell based on that extremely blurry photo you see, the package will sell for a holiday-destroying $499.99, so you'd better hope grandma drops a big check on you this season.

A Sneak Peek of Some Gran Turismo 5 Cars for PlayStation 3

50°
315w ago - Recently Jeff Staples posted on his blog some text in Japanese, which contained some Gran Turismo 5 details.

He recently got the chance to visit Polyphony's studio in Tokyo and got some really interesting information. The general post highlighted the advances of the GT title, as well as gave us a lot of insider information as to how the game is made, about the staff and developers and much more. We also get to see some of the vehicles coming to GT5.

Mercedes C63 AMG

From this diagram, we see what looks like a Mercedes C63 AMG. However I do not see the front fog light in the model, as you would see in the real C63 AMG. However, the grill and bumper flare kits look very much like the C63's. Check out the real one below and tell us what you think.

Maserati Spyder (2004)

We can see the GT team taking lots of photo shots, as well as recording engine and environmental sounds.

Unknown Car

I personally know very little about older classics, so I have not the slightest clue as to what car this could possibly be. However it was shown in the modeling process.

Pic below is of the Maserati Spyder (2004), and pics for each car can be seen at...

Number of Quality Titles in PlayStation 3's Library Doubled in 2008

350°
315w ago - 2008 has been full of ups and downs for the PlayStation 3. Whether or not Sony delivered on all their promises is questionable.

However, if there is one thing that can't be taken from Sony's next-gen console is the tremendous growth its software library has undergone over the past year.

In 2007, critics of the PS3 lambasted the console's software catalog. The system was victim of numerous shoddy ports, and lacked any defining title it could call its own. Then, early in the new year, Sony made the eyebrow raising announcement that they intended to drive sales not by slashing the price again, but by delivering quality software.

And, to the disbelief of even the most devout Sony fanatics, things did begin to change. The PS3 became the lead platform for many multiplatform projects, ironically, not because it was the most powerful platform, but because it was the most infuriating to develop for. Starting with Burnout Paradise in January, the differences between the PS3 and 360 versions of multiplatform games became a non-issue.

Several big name titles, including Devil May Cry 4 and Grand Theft Auto 4 averaged better reviews on the PS3. Even Madden 2009 averaged a point better on the PS3, an impressive feat after the controversy that erupted the previous year when EA announced that...
