To quote: This is a PS3 port of my open world super hero game titled Hero City. It was originally made for Wii and features the Nintendomax mascot.

There are some minor ways in which I've improved the game but there are some graphical and performance problems and the player is now constrained by the more simplified collision system that was previously only used for the enemies which unfortunately means that you can't travel on top of buildings or water.

PS3 controls:

  • Left analog stick = Move
  • Right analog stick = Turn camera
  • X = Jump
  • O = Fly
  • Triangle and Square = Punch

Team Ninja on Ninja Gaiden 3 PS3 Multiplayer and Sigma+ PS Vita

250°
137w ago - Today Team Ninja have shared multiplayer details on the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 3 title for PS3 and also Ninja Gaiden Sigma+ for the PlayStation Vita handheld.

To quote from Sony Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein: Earlier this week, Team Ninja set up a temporary dojo in San Francisco to share news and game time with [Register or Login to view links] and [Register or Login to view links] on the PlayStation 3.

Of particular note was the first hands-on demo of Ninja Gaiden 3's multiplayer offering in the form of 4v4 Team Deathmatch and Battle Royale modes.

It's a bold move to add a competitive multiplayer mode to a melee-based action game, and I struggled to think of a comparable product out there; it definitely stands on its own in the action genre. My favorite touch: when struck by a deathblow, you can fight off your attacker by mashing the buttons, and then choose to "die with honor" via [Register or Login to view links].

After a lengthy playtest, we were granted some face-to-face time with the team's Head Ninja, Yosuke Hayashi. Here we chat PlayStation Move support in NG3, working on the Vita, and how many actual ninja are on Team Ninja:

To quote: Flying through the vector digital utopia of [Register or Login to view links] was a defining moment for me when I played it on the PS2.

And when [Register or Login to view links] released Lumines for the PSP soon after, Tetsuya Mizuguchi and his team easily became one of my favorite developers.

Now the team comes full circle with Lumines: Electronic Symphony, a launch window title for PS Vita. Producer James Mielke joins me on camera and introduces the next generation of Lumines, an addictive musical puzzle journey.

Lumines: Electronic Symphony was built from the ground up to take advantage of the PS Vita's potent graphical capabilities and unique touch mechanics on both the rear and front OLED screen, giving you immersive control on over three dozen tracks with every quantized musical note at your finger tips.

Video: Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock Coming to PS3 and PS Vita

300°
137w ago - BBC Worldwide Executive Producer Simon Harris has announced today that Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock is coming to PS3 and PS Vita with a video trailer available below.

To quote: Developing anything for Doctor Who has to be done right. The show has such a following that we need to be certain that everything the game does fits with the expectations of the fans.

So far, we've said very, very little about the game. This trailer just has the barest hints about the core of this story. What is The Eternity Clock? How is it related to the Doctor? How is River involved in this?

I'm afraid this post isn't going to answer any of these questions; we'll leave that to future posts and the game itself.

We're very excited to be working with Supermassive Games as they've already delivered some great titles for PlayStation, such as Tumble, Start The Party and Start The Party: Save the World. The team are huge fans of the show and they've been great at bringing the key essence of Doctor Who into the game.

Working on PlayStation Vita, as well as PS3, is a real privilege and its unique set of features has allowed our designers to cut loose and we'll tell you a lot more detail about how we're...
