131w ago - XSEED Localization Specialist Tom Lipschultz has announced today that Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is now live on PSN.
To quote: Few game series have as long and storied a history as Wizardry, which is the same age as Mario and helped inspire entire gaming genres.
Much has changed in this series over the years, but the base formula has remained the same: create your avatar, hire some help at the local guild, accept a quest or two, then crawl through a seemingly endless maze of corridors, traps, treasure chests and secret passageways... all in glorious first-person 3D!
But do mind the monsters. Everything from adorable Vorpal Bunnies to giant dragons, to a demonic face made out of corpses is traipsing through these same cavernous depths, always just around the next corner. Once you're spotted, it's time to fight - and if you're not strong, clever or fast enough to take them down, you're going to wind up as a spot on the wall - like all the others.
In the end, it comes down to tweaking your stats, finding or buying new equipment, keeping track of your whereabouts, exploring thoroughly and strategizing like there's no tomorrow. Think Etrian Odyssey, or Dark Spire, or... well... Wizardry!
There are 10 main characters to choose from, consisting...
131w ago - Today Overkill Software CEO Bo Andersson has shared a video and details on Payday: The Heist which is coming soon to PS3 via PlayStation Network.
To quote: Hollywood heist movies are, quite simply put, awesome. The high-stakes hits, epic firefights and scene stealing showdowns make for some of the most adrenaline-pumping excitement on the silver screen.
But these sort of over-the-top crime capers are not exactly what you would call "legal," so we here at OVERKILL Software came up with a solution for all you fans out there that want to take up arms and take down a big hit ... PAYDAY: The Heist.
PAYDAY: The Heist is an action-filled first person shooter for the PlayStation Network that lets you take on the role of a hardened career criminal executing intense, dynamic heists in constant pursuit of the next "big score".
Navigate diverse urban settings with three partners in crime – controlled by either AI or your best buddies in co-op multiplayer – and load out with an array of weaponry and equipment as you launch a spectacular crime spree through six high-stake heists, including banks robberies, prisoner extractions and armored car hijackings.
Whether you're blowing the roof off a building to steal a safe with a helicopter or emptying the vault at...
131w ago - Activision Social Media Manager Dan Amrich has announced today that the Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation DLC is coming to PS3 on June 10, 2011.
To quote: Hopefully everybody enjoyed the double XP period for Call of Duty: Black Ops in May - neither Treyarch nor Activision wanted to see any of the PS3 fans miss out just because of the technical issues.
Now the next round of Black Ops action is locked and loaded: the long-awaited Escalation DLC pack will be available in the PlayStation Store on Friday, June 10th.
Escalation features five big chunks of content - four multiplayer maps and one star-studded Zombies experience unlike any other. For fans of competitive combat, your new battlegrounds await:
• HOTEL takes the sunny splendor of a luxirous Cuban casino resort and turns it into a bullet-riddled war zone. Details like the blown casino safe and poolside bar offer some unusual cover for run-and-gunners, but thanks to the high vantage points at opposite ends, it's also a great map for snipers.
• Why not visit the ZOO? The big cats and deadly reptiles left this abandoned Russian animal park long ago, but the overgrown, dilapidated facility still plays host to the...
