131w ago - WeareMinority Creative Director Vander Caballero has introduced Papo & Yo for PS3 on PSN today alongside a video trailer.
To quote: It's my great pleasure to today reveal our first title, Papo & Yo, which we are bringing to the PlayStation Network next year thanks to the support of SCEA's Pub Fund.
I have always wanted to tell the story of my childhood, as the difficulties I lived through shaped the man I've come to be. But telling my story was a major endeavor for me as an artist.
First I had to master videogame design so I could realize my vision; after that, I had to find an appropriate method to tell a difficult story in an engaging way.
And finally, I needed to find a group of people who would believe in me and take the risk to dedicate themselves to a project like this. I'm very lucky to have the great, experienced team I have at Minority, who have completely embraced my initial concept.
But what is my story, and why would someone be interested in it, you ask? Well, the tale told in Papo & Yo is about myself and my father, a good man but also an evil one. Like many, he used alcohol and drugs to cope with a challenging life, and I was caught in the middle of it. The emotional core of this game is...
131w ago - XSEED Localization Specialist Tom Lipschultz has announced today that Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is now live on PSN.
To quote: Few game series have as long and storied a history as Wizardry, which is the same age as Mario and helped inspire entire gaming genres.
Much has changed in this series over the years, but the base formula has remained the same: create your avatar, hire some help at the local guild, accept a quest or two, then crawl through a seemingly endless maze of corridors, traps, treasure chests and secret passageways... all in glorious first-person 3D!
But do mind the monsters. Everything from adorable Vorpal Bunnies to giant dragons, to a demonic face made out of corpses is traipsing through these same cavernous depths, always just around the next corner. Once you're spotted, it's time to fight - and if you're not strong, clever or fast enough to take them down, you're going to wind up as a spot on the wall - like all the others.
In the end, it comes down to tweaking your stats, finding or buying new equipment, keeping track of your whereabouts, exploring thoroughly and strategizing like there's no tomorrow. Think Etrian Odyssey, or Dark Spire, or... well... Wizardry!
There are 10 main characters to choose from, consisting...
