To quote: It has been a exciting week at [Register or Login to view links] with the release of the third DLC map pack "Napalm & Cordite", the release of patch 1.29, the latest update to [Register or Login to view links], the announcement of the "Map Pack Bundle" and the opening of "Our World" an art exhibition here in the Netherlands based around the visually creative process of making the Killzone 2 universe and those that inhabit it.

So to celebrate all this we have decided to give back to the folks who have supported us through thick and thin since the release of Killzone 2: You. The most attractive and charismatic fans any video-game can have. (Yes, flattery won't get me anywhere) And what better way to thank ones loyal fans than with POINTS!

PS3 Gets Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Two Weeks Later

284w ago - Following up on the recent revelation that its re-release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will hit Xbox 360 on July 29, Capcom today announced that PlayStation 3 edition of the downloadable fighter won't arrive until August 13- two weeks and one day later.

To quote: No reason was provided for the later release, though we're checking in for details.

Based on the Dreamcast edition of Capcom's cult classic crossover fighter, and enhanced with online play and visual options by Backbone, MvC2 will sell for $15.

Rumor: Full PS3 Backwards Compatibility Only Weeks Away?

286w ago - Recently it was reported that Sony patented software-based PS2 emulation technology. This got users excited who own 80GB, 40GB and 160GB PS3 consoles without backwards compatability.

Although the article speculated that the upcoming PS3 slim may utilize this technology, today a German Web site has supposedly gained comment from a Sony employee, to quote:

This brings us to the German Web site [Register or Login to view links], which claims to have gained comment from a Sony employee stating that full backwards compatibility is coming to US PS3's as a firmware update in the "next few weeks."

If this rumor is true, it will make many newer PS3 console owners very happy indeed!
