130w ago - Eat Sleep Play Co-Founder David Jaffe has posted up a new Twisted Metal Iron Maiden PS3 demo today and shared details on their Comic-Con 2011 plans.
To quote: I get into a little about the character stories as well as talk about gameplay balance and the pros and cons between the game's 15+ vehicles.
I also gab a bit about the reveal of Iron Maiden, the biggest and most complicated boss we've ever had in a Twisted Metal game!
E3 was a blast this year! It was really cool to connect with fans at the booth while they went tried out Twisted Metal's signature Nuke mode. It was also fun showing off our newest level: New York City during the holiday season.
The very first Twisted Metal game - released back in 1995! - takes place at Christmas time as well and I guess we wanted to pay a little homage. Also, I just love the idea of chaos and destruction centered around what is usually one of the happiest, warmest, most fun times of the year! Does that make me bad?!? So check out the video- hope you dig it!
And next up is Comic-Con in San Diego July 21-24 so hope to see ya'll there. Thank you again for the support, thanks so much for stopping by to play our game and say 'hey' at the show, and please stay tuned...
130w ago - Guerrilla Games Producer Aryeh Loeb is here with some videos and details on the new Killzone 3 'From the Ashes' PS3 Pack which includes 4 new maps!
To quote: Today we're offering a first look at two new maps from the upcoming DLC map pack for Killzone 3, "From The Ashes."
Consisting of two Guerrilla Warfare maps and two Warzone maps, From The Ashes will reinvigorate your Killzone 3 online experience with environments both fresh and familiar.
First up is a preview video of Lente Missile Base, a Warzone map for 24 players set inside an abandoned missile base at the edge of the Kaznan Jungle. One of many outdated defense facilities abandoned after the discovery of nuclear Petrusite, Lente Base is slowly being reclaimed by Helghan's strange plant life.
But when warring ISA and Helghast forces stumble across the remains of the facility, they find that most of its systems are still operational. As both factions vie for control of the base, the facility begins firing its missiles - frying anyone caught in the underground exhaust vents...
The second preview video features Mobile Factory, a Guerrilla Warfare map for 16 players set aboard one of the largest vehicles from the single player campaign. Part resource...
130w ago - Today SCEE Manager James Gallagher shared some E3 2011 video footage of Little Deviants for Sony's PS Vita handheld console.
To quote: Whenever you get your hands on a new game console or electronic gadget, you want to check out all of its shiny new features. Little Deviants is just perfect for that - it uses a host of different player inputs in a collection of games that is only possible on PS Vita.
It's developed by Bigbig Studios, the creators of Pursuit Force and MotorStorm: Arctic Edge, bringing a wealth of handheld development experience to what was one of the most popular Vita titles shown at E3. As part of our program of live video interviews, I caught up with Richard Ogden, Game Design Director, to eek out as much info about the game as I could.
We're not quite done with the E3 replays yet; watch this space.
130w ago - SCEE's James Gallagher shared some Swords and Sorcery E3 2011 video footage today with Deadmund's Quest for PlayStation Move on the PS3 entertainment system.
To quote: How time flies: at E3 2010 we were checking out Sports Champions and just one year later, Zindagi Games is back with Deadmund's Quest, a very different kind of game using the expertise the team has gained through developing for PlayStation Move.
I spoke with Jeremy Ray at E3 while Colin O'Hara played through an early level.
Deadmund's Quest is an action adventure set in a fantasy world of dungeons and goblins where the title character has been transformed into a skeleton and must overcome the curse.
Most interestingly, the team has developed a fluid control scheme that allows you to switch seamless between your sword, your throwing stars and your bow without the need for any kind of weapon change interface - you simply perform the required action with the Move motion controller.
We'll be keeping an eye on Deadmund's Quest and will post when we hear of any new information.
