Videos: New Burnout Paradise Legendary Cars DLC in Action

310w ago - As if we weren't tantalized enough by the Burnout Paradise [Register or Login to view links] Criterion has made available, today the company dropped teaser videos for each of the cars in the soon-to-be released 'Legendary Cars' DLC for Burnout Paradise.

Not skimping one bit on the nostalgia factor, the "GT Nighthawk" video employs liberal use of the General Lee horn over a slo-mo jump sequence, though Doc is unfortunately missing from the "88 Special" video. "Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads."

WiiRadio v0.1 ShoutCast Client for Nintendo Wii Available!

310w ago - Today Scanff has released WiiRadio v0.1 (Preview version) for the Nintendo Wii console.

WiiRadio is a ShoutCast stream player. It can read from thousands of Internet radio streams and play them back on the Wii (only tested NTSC).

God of War III for PS3 Press Event Q&A and New Trailer out!

310w ago - Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein shared the following news today via PS Blog:

Earlier this week, over 50 media outlets from North America and Europe saw God of War III, the "epic finale" to Kratos' tale of revenge, played before their very eyes for the first time.

The game's director, Stig Asmussen, led off the session by sharing some key features of the game: Titan gameplay, Ride-able enemy characters, a new weapon system, large-scale battle. All of these were demonstrated in this extended trailer, which was shown next:





To further drive home that this trailer was produced in the game's engine, the audience was treated to nearly 20 minutes of gameplay (which you'll be reading about all over the internet today, no doubt). After the gameplay demonstration, Stig took questions from the press. Here they are (paraphrased - I can only type so fast!):

Gamespot: How will you catch people up to the story?

Stig: One of the criteria of the game is to "bridge the series." Some recent games were confusing if you missed certain chapters in the story. I don't want that to happen with God of War III.

Game Revolution: Has the ESRB gone too far?

Stig: People have to stop looking at...

311w ago - Criterion Games Producer Jeremy Chubb shares details of their first premium content for Burnout Paradise - the Party Pack today as follows:

Our Freeburn online play is a cool way to hang out with your online friends, but we wanted to give you a way to play PlayStation, when your friends comes to visit. The game supports up to 8-players for pass-the-pad single-screen action.
