SCEE Announces London Pub Radio Launch for PlayStation Home

50°
198w ago - SCEE Home Community Lead Alex Weekes has announced today that the London Pub Radio is launching for PlayStation Home.

To quote: Exciting news for music lovers and owners of The London Pub this week, as tomorrow The London Pub Radio (LPR) hits the airwaves - free to all London Pub owners!

Every month LPR will be bringing you new featured bands and artists. First up from LPR are four tracks from Barney, Ben, Graham and Dan: a four-piece London-based band known as 'RedderStare'.

They describe their sounds as "analogue, live, raw and a bit messy, largely because they are all of those things". Find out more about the band [Register or Login to view links].

That's not all, though... also launching tomorrow will be the LPR website where aspiring musicians will be able to submit their own music for a chance to have their tracks played to an audience of thousands in London Pubs around the virtual world.

The LPR team will choose an artist or band to feature each month. Further details are available on the [Register or Login to view links], however the most important rules to keep in mind are that submissions must be your own original music and you must not have a signed record contract or publishing deal.

100°
199w ago - Electronic Arts Community Coordinator Eduardo Vasconcellos has announced today that Medal of Honor for PS3 is getting what's being dubbed Hot Zone.

To quote: It's been a few weeks since Medal of Honor launched, and thanks to our fantastic PlayStation fans, things have been a great success.

Now that you've had time to get used to the game's multiplayer offering on the PlayStation Network, I think it's time we let you in on a little secret: there's more. While you may already know that Clean Sweep is coming on November 2 (free for everyone who activated their Medal of Honor Online Pass), what we didn't tell you is that a whole new mode dubbed Hot Zone is coming to the PSN on the same day.

Coming to the PlayStation Network for $9.99, Hot Zone is a king of the hill-type mode where two teams tussle over a single objective within a map. As long as you hold the Hot Zone, you gain points which go to your final score.

Unlike other game modes, maintaining control on the Hot Zone is the only way to earn points, so while laying down suppressing fire and taking out enemies coming your way is certainly a good thing, these kills won't earn you any extra points.
