128w ago - Today DanyL has announced at PSX-Scene (linked above) that he has started work on a PS3Payload Downloader project, and although it is currently a WIP he states a release will be incoming as soon as work is completed.

To quote: I'm happy to announce a new project I'm working on, called PS3Payload Downloader.

It's a program that gathers all the payloads for all the platforms (rockbox, teensy, psfreedom and so on) in one place and allow you to download them.

As all my other projects - it's an open source. I'll release the source in github when I'll finish working on it.

Most of the programming is done, what I still need to do it:

• Improve search engine
• Improve GUI - Done
• Create a Logo - Done
• Create an updater - Done

Server side:

• List and upload all the payloads (Uploaded and listed = 76 payloads)

128w ago - As a follow-up to my PS3 Acid CFW XMB XML Hack Pack, today we are happy to announce that we have enabled more PlayStation 3 Debug options in our ongoing PS3 Acid CFW WIP project and posted a video below.

Here are the details from DeViL303 at kbx.org (linked above): As you may know, the Acid CFW project was first released on PS3News.com over a month ago by Cfwprophet, and since then its progress is going like a snowball on a big hill !!

We are working on this continously and even in last few hours Cfwprophet and myself have made some great discoveries with regard to Debug options! More news to come so watch this space for more great info about this Custom Firmware for PlayStation 3!

128w ago - Earlier today the PS3Break PS3 Downgrader was announced, and now the x3Max Team has made available a video of their PS JailBreak clone PS3 modchip dongle in action running PlayStation 3 homebrew on Firmware 3.50 without downgrading!

To quote from kbx.org (linked above): I was talking to one of the support staff from x3max and they notified me about their new downgrader which they are going to release later today. They have provided me with a video which shows the x3downgrade. I will update the blog when they send me files.

Seems like they got an device which can run homebrew on 3.50 but i think they are releasing an downgrader as well as the support guy told me.

Finally, from the video's caption: The 3.50 firmware is now Jailbreaked, no more need to downgrade !

The dongle can launch homebrews on PS3 with 3.50 firmware, without downgrade !

128w ago - As a follow-up to the Infectus and E3 Card Reader PS3 Downgrader news, today the PS3 Break Team (and the PS3Key/EcliPS3 Teams) have also confirmed they have a PlayStation 3 Downgrader for 3.50 Firmware consoles incoming.

Currently, news spreads on Internet regarding some brand dongle companies have capable of downgrading PS3 firmware from v3.50 to v3.41.

PS3Break dongle is ultimate testing. It will be officially launched in the next few days! please expect together !

So it appears all of the PS JailBreak PS3 modchip clone devices will utilize the PS3 downgrader functionality, and here is to hoping a free version also surfaces soon.

128w ago - Today we received word and videos from bx1199 of the E3 Team and sk group that E3DIY.net has made available an E3 Card Reader PlayStation 3 Firmware 3.50 downgrader, while PR0r also let us know that OzModChips (linked above) is now offering an Infectus PS3 Mod 3.50 Firmware downgrade service as well.

With this bin you can get the PS3 into service mode and downgrade using the previously released files to downgrade to 3.41 and below.
