Wheels of Destruction Gets Free New DLC: Moscovian Mayhem

127w ago - Today Project Manager Alexey Pchelintsev at Gelid Games has announced that Wheels of Destruction is getting free new DLC entitled Moscovian Mayhem with details below.

To quote: Developing at Gelid Games is a personal process for people who genuinely love games. We set out to make Wheels of Destruction a hardcore old school arena shooter in the same vein Quake and Doom, something we were successful in.

We knew we wanted to expand upon Wheels of Destruction and let it evolve with its players, and what better way to do that than release some awesome downloadable content, improve the game greatly, and ultimately create something substantial and worthy. Best of all, we made it free.

Wheels of Destruction originally had five different maps. It was enough for the start, as each map had a very distinct configuration and size, but we expected our players to want more. Hence, our first DLC, "Moscovian Mayhem," contains a new map of post-apocalyptic Moscow, where the players show their skills among the ruins of the Kremlin.

The goal with this DLC is to create a fresh experience for players, so this map was created with completely different set of objectives in mind, resulting in a map designed for a radically different "feel" compared to the other maps. Everything's different: size,...

127w ago - Capcom Marketing Manager Tristan Corbett has announced today that Okami HD is coming exclusively to PS3 complete with PlayStation Move support this Fall.

Below is a video of it in action, and to quote: I'm pleased to confirm that this fall, gamers will be able to return to the land of Nippon in Okami HD, exclusively on the PS3 with PlayStation Move support.

Initially released to critical acclaim on the PS2, Okami HD has the player take on the role of Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess, who inhabits the form of a wolf.

After a tyrannical monster, Orochi, turns the world into a ruined, colorless wasteland, Amaterasu must use her magical abilities to restore the land to its previous glory and defeat the demon in charge of the destruction.

Okami HD brings Amaterasu's epic tale to the PS3 with fully integrated HD graphics and widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio. I did not think it was possible to make the game look even better, but when I saw it for myself, I was a believer.

The trademark sumi-e ink art style lends itself perfectly to HD, allowing players to experience more of the awe-inspiring world displayed in more detail than ever before. Check out the trailer above to see what I'm talking...
