Sony Announces Medieval Moves is Coming to PlayStation Move

The story behind Medieval Moves involves the evil Sorcerer Morgrimm who has invaded Prince Edmund's Castle and plots to take over the kingdom, raising an army of skeletons from beyond.

Sony Announces PSN and PlayStation Store Are Returning Today

From the Press Release, to quote: Tokyo, June 2, 2011 - Sony Corporation and Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) announced today that Sony Network Entertainment International (SNEI, the company) will fully restore all PlayStation Network services today June 2, 2011, in the Americas, Europe/PAL territories and Asia, excluding Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

The company will also resume Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity for PlayStation 3 (PS3), PSP (PlayStation Portable), VAIO and other PCs.

Details of "Welcome Back" package program offered to all registered PlayStation Network* and Qriocity account services will be announced from each region.

Announcement for restoration in Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea as well as for the remaining services on Qriocity will be made as they become available.

* Only available for those countries and regions with access to PlayStation Store.
 

Sony Announces Important PlayStation Network Maintenance

172w ago - Today VP Eric Lempel of Sony Network Entertainment has announced that PlayStation Network will be undergoing some important maintenance in order to get PSN fully operational again.

To quote: Starting soon, the PlayStation Network will be inaccessible for several hours for maintenance. The server maintenance performed at this time represents a crucial step in the full restoration for PSN, including the PlayStation Store.

During this maintenance period, users will be unable to sign in to PSN, though those that are already logged in should be able to remain online.

Resumption of full PlayStation Network service is still on track for this week in most regions.

Thank you once again for your patience as we work to return PSN to the highest level of service.
 

Sony Announces Scheduled Maintenance Today, No PSN Update

173w ago - Today Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has announced news of scheduled PlayStation Network maintenance and confirmed that there will be no PSN Store update today as well.

To quote: PlayStation Network is scheduled to undergo maintenance today, from about 8am until approximately 5pm Pacific time. During this time, registration and Account Management will be inaccessible, including the password reset process.

While some users may experience difficulty signing in to PSN, the majority of consumers will be able to play online as well as sign in to external sites that require PSN authentication (like this one).

For those asking about the PlayStation Store, we're still targeting restoration of all services by the end of this month. Contrary to reports, the Store will not be publishing today.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Ask any PlayStation gamer who missed out on the Call of Duty: Black Ops double XP weekend a few weeks ago, and they'll tell you: Leo knew what he was talking about.

While other platforms soaked up the extra experience points, PS3 gamers had to hang in there while PlayStation put everything in order behind the scenes. In cases like that, patience isn't a virtue – patience is a pain in the butt.
