MonkeyPaw Games Retro Rush Week 3: The Firemen 2: Pete & Danny

50°
48w ago - MoneyPaw Games PR Manager Ryan Olsen is back with Retro Rush week 3 which includes The Firemen 2: Pete and Danny.

To quote: The third week of the MonkeyPaw Games Retro Rush is all about a pair that works well together. Like salt and pepper, peanut butter and jelly, or cocoa and marshmallows, Pete and Danny are inseparable as a firefighting team that work together like clockwork.

What's the Retro Rush? Each week, for six weeks, we'll be releasing a new import PSOne Classic on PlayStation Store for PS3, PS Vita, and PSP. So far, we've brought Double Dragon and Lucifer Ring to PlayStation Store, and a firefighting duo is about to join the Retro Rush with The Firemen 2: Pete and Danny.

In The Firemen 2: Pete and Danny, the titular heroes arrive on the scene of a theme park that's burning to the ground. People are trapped and fire is running wild, there's pandemonium all over the place. Pete and Danny answer the call and head into the blaze to rescue civilians.

Oh, did we mention the game also takes place on Christmas Eve? Talk about a stressful day. The good news is you can bring a friend into the chaos since The Firemen 2: Pete and Danny is a local co-op game.

What makes this game one of the quirkiest titles we have ever released is the fact that this is an action...

50°
49w ago - MoneyPaw Games PR Manager Ryan Olsen is back with Retro Rush Week 2, which features Lucifer Ring on PSN today.

Below are the details, to quote: MonkeyPaw Games is back for the second game in the Retro Rush lineup! What's the Retro Rush? Each week, for six weeks, we'll be releasing a new import PSone Classic on the PSN for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PSP. The first week was Double Dragon, and now Lucifer Ring is the next stop for Week 2.

Lucifer Ring is another title that hasn't seen a release outside of Japan and we are the first to bring it over the ocean and on to the PlayStation Network. It's a 3D beat-'em-up that's heavy on action.

You play as a young hero named Nash who is tasked with stopping a dark wizard from using the Lucifer Rings that will open the gates of Hell. Naturally, Nash will have to hack and slash his way through Centaurs, Goblins, Dragons and creatures named Bob to put a stop to the evil forces. There will be mini-bosses and multi-state level bosses to round out this adventure to put our hero to the test.

Dark wizards never let heroes get any rest, do they?

Lucifer Ring originally released in 1998 on the original PlayStation, which means this classic gem will see it's first North American release 16 years after the original release...

53w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements is here with the new PlayStation releases for the upcoming week today, as follows:

What better way to relax during the holidays than bundle up, pour some hot cider, dim the lights, and enjoy a few rounds of glorious video game pinball? Did you think I was going to suggest spending time with loved ones? Oh. That's good, too.

This week, PlayStation is getting ready to enjoy the holiday break, so we have one game coming to PS4, and it's a great one: Zen Pinball 2. For those of you that already own tables on the PS3 or PS Vita version, you'll be able to download the PS4 tables at no additional cost.

For those that are trying out Zen Pinball 2 for the first time, the Sorcerer's Lair table is free to play.

Given the light release lineup, The Drop will also be taking a short holiday break and coming back to PlayStation.Blog at the start of the new year. Until then, I wish each and every one of you a happy and restful holiday. May your gaming be ample and your snacks be delicious.

Unless you're dieting for the holiday. In which case, may your diet be successful.
