5w ago - Sony's Jawad Ashraf of the PS Store Team posted up this weeks European PlayStation Game Store updates below, which include inFAMOUS, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Towerfall and more!

To quote: Big week for new releases - Luftrausers, Steamworld, Ninja Gaiden Z also incoming!

Exclusive to PlayStation 4 this week is hotly anticipated inFAMOUS: Second Son. Delsin Rowe takes the lead role this time with new powers at his disposal. Casually walk the streets of Seattle, or take to the skies with glorious superhuman powers including shifting around as smoke. Think of the asthmatics!

I spent over 100 hours on this many years ago, and now I plan to do it again. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is at last releasing this Friday. Relive or experience for the first time the beautiful story of Tidus, Yuna and the rest of the gang with shinier graphics and a newly arranged soundtrack. Don't forget the Sun Crest like I did.

Big Boss sneaks his way onto PS Store too in Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for PS3 and in 60fps goodness on PS4. Dip your toes into this first phase of what the wider MGSV universe aims to offer as you infiltrate an enemy camp and toy with new gameplay mechanics.

Sony Introduces Project Morpheus: Virtual Reality (VR) System for PS4

200°
5w ago - Sony Worldwide Studios President Shu Yoshida officially introduced Project Morpheus ($249-299 targeted price), a Virtual Reality (VR) System for PS4 today at the Game Developer Conference (GDC) 2014 with details below!

To quote: Greetings from GDC 2014! Earlier this evening, I had the pleasure to introduce Project Morpheus, SCE's prototype virtual reality (VR) system that works with PS4. Virtual reality is the next innovation from SCE that we believe will shape the future of games.

I have long dreamed about VR and the possibilities it brings in regards to game development. This new technology will deliver a sense of presence, where you as the player actually feel like you're inside the game and your emotions feel that much more real.

Our current prototype for Project Morpheus features a head mounted display with 1080p resolution and a 90 degree field of view. Accelerometer and gyroscope sensors built into the head mounted unit as well as PlayStation Camera accurately tracks head orientation and movement, so as your head rotates, the image of the virtual world rotates intuitively in real-time.

Project Morpheus also features our new 3D audio technology that re-creates stereoscopic sounds in all directions and changes in real-time depending...

Sony Announces Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is Out Today

100°
5w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements announced that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is officially out today on PS4 and PS3 consoles.

To quote: Snake moves across the dirt and rock with immaculate care, crawling in silence as rain soaks his suit. He blends into the darkness, and the passing chopper screeches overhead in ignorance of his trespassing.

As the camera pans to reveal his face, each wrinkle on his brow betrays his great military experience and troubled past. But this is just another mission for the iconic hero, who returns to PlayStation today in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for PS3 and PS4.

Following the events of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Ground Zeroes finds Big Boss infiltrating a military compound in Cuba, with a mission to extract two high-value targets before they're executed... or worse. Ground Zeroes establishes the initial story arc that will continue in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Think of Ground Zeroes as an appetizer to the main course.

The talented team at Kojima Productions have worked marvels on PS4, lending a breath-taking sense of realism to Ground Zeroes and the characters therein. The character models and animation have reached new heights for the series, while the large military base brims with detail, both large...

Sony Announces Indie Horror Game Home Coming to PS4, PS Vita

50°
5w ago - Benjamin Rivers Inc Director Benjamin Rivers announced via Sony's Blog today that Indie horror game Home is coming to PS4 and PS Vita.

Below are the details, to quote: Home was a welcome surprise to horror game lovers when it launched on PC in 2012, and it delighted a whole new audience on mobile in 2013.

Its simple controls and heavy reliance on rich sound and atmosphere, though, make it a great choice for a console system - so I'm happy to announce that Home is making the jump to PS4 and PS Vita this year!

Part of Home's charm is that it's entirely dependent on the player; it isn't a march toward Ending A or Ending B - it's the journey itself that is affected, as all your little choices subtly change how your character perceives the world around him. It's a game that people love playing and then discussing afterward to compare notes and theories.

More importantly, it's a game that's meant to be played alone, in the darkest room (or alley, or barn, or deep, dank forest) you can find. On PS4, this means you can turn off the lights, crank that sound system and let the dread wash over you.

If you're extra brave, you can play the game on your Vita - somewhere scary, where no one will find you, and with a fat pair of headphones, of course.
