6w ago - Sony Lead Producer Garth DeAngelis revealed that XCOM: Enemy Unknown officially invades PS3 on PSN today!
Below are the details, to quote: 2K and the development team at Firaxis Games are excited to announce the release of XCOM: Enemy Unknown for PlayStation 3 on PlayStation Network in North America and Brazil on Tuesday, April 9th!
We hope the PlayStation community is ready to save Earth in a way they may have never experienced before.
As a lifelong PlayStation gamer, and a huge fan of PlayStation-bred squad-based tactical games like Final Fantasy Tactics, Valkyria Chronicles, Disgaea, and Vandal Hearts, I'm proud to have something fresh and so easily accessible within Sony's amazing game catalog.
If you missed XCOM: Enemy Unknown's launch in October, this is a heck of an opportunity to see what the fuss has been about.
We're humbled by the 18 Overall Game of the Year wins we've been awarded, but even cooler to us as game creators are the individual stories we hear from gamers regarding their play experience.
In XCOM: Enemy Unknown, you'll defend the world against a global alien onslaught, making epic decisions via your secret underground base, and then deploy your squads...

A unique blend of visual novel, schedule management, and puzzle, this game will have you competing with your rival for the coveted slot of emissary to the great spirits from beyond. Evergreen Avenue takes place in a world that was once governed by magic - where spirits and men once peacefully coexisted.
The spirits eventually lost their influence over the realm and left humanity to its own devices. The king of the spirits has recently decided to return to this plane and bond with the common folk once more.
Players will choose between a male or female protagonist, each with their own unique backstory and traits, as they set out to impress the seven spirits who have come to judge them. The unselected character will become your rival, and you will...
6w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Rey Gutierrez is here with the new Sony PS3, PS Vita and PSN releases for the upcoming week today, as follows:
Cross-Buy Guacamelee! for PS3 and PS Vita on PSN this week. Guacamelee! draws its inspiration from traditional Mexican culture and folklore, and features many interesting and unique characters.
The game also blurs the boundaries between combat and platforming by making many of the moves useful and necessary for both of these.
The game features a down on his luck Mexican named Juan Aguacate, who sets out to save the world when El Presidente's Daughter is kidnapped by an Evil Charro Skeleton.
The story takes place in and around a small village in Mexico, and has the player travelling between parallel dimensions on his quest to rescue the girl he loves. Enjoy this week's The Drop.
Guacamelee! (Cross-Buy PS3/PS Vita) - Guacamelee is a Metroidvania style game with a light world/dark world component where you play as a luchador. The game can be played entirely cooperatively with the first player controlling Juan and the second playing a woman known as Tostada.
The combat consists of melee attacks, as the name suggests, such as punches, grapples and throws. There are also other moves you learn to...
6w ago - Just days after Sony officially launched the PS4 Web site, according to a rumor from PC Magazine (linked above) they are now planning a big PlayStation 4 reveal prior to E3 in April or early May 2013.
Below are the purported details, to quote: "Sony already revealed some PlayStation 4 specs at a February event in which the company unveiled the console's controller (pictured) and a stereo camera with motion capture capabilities, but not, to the chagrin of gamers everywhere, the PS4 itself.
But Sony may be parceling out information about its coming game console to build up buzz, according to the source. Some industry watchers anticipated another reveal or at least some PS4 news at last week's Game Developer Conference, but the company only tipped some details about the underlying hardware, Ars Technica reported.
GDC was probably the last big stage for the company to talk up the successor to the PlayStation 3 before the E3 gaming conference in June, unless Sony manufactures its own event. That's precisely what Sony plans to do, according to the source, who said late April/early May will be the likeliest timeframe for a full-blown launch of the PS4.
