177w ago - Update: According to Sony's Jeff Rubenstein via Examiner.com, it appears PSN ID changes may not be coming for PlayStation Plus subscribers after all, to quote: "It's an idea that's been brought up multiple times, and it's something I'd like to see as well. I don't think there are any current plans to enact this, however. I'll bring it up again, though."
According to rumors from a Dutch site, North American and European PlayStation Plus subscribers may soon be able to change their PSN ID names similar to what Japanese PlayStation Network users can already do.
Below is a 'proof video' on How to Change Your PlayStation Network ID courtesy of MATTORULZ via YouTube along with a rough English translation, to quote:
"According to some PS3 hackers who wish to remain anonymous and are in a PS3 development chat channel on EFnet, there are traces of an upcoming PSN feature for Americans and Europeans.
It is about changing your nickname PlayStation Network, and will 'Change display name' to be named.
But what many people probably already know, is the fact that this very very long one feature of the Japanese PlayStation...
177w ago - Here is one from the rumormill, blackxino (linked above) has shared a leaked image of what is purported to be the first hint that Dead or Alive 5 is coming to Sony's PS3 entertainment system.
Pictured below, the alleged DOA5 main game menu image contains an 'X' and 'O' button indicating that it is playable on the PlayStation 3 console.
However, Dead or Alive 4 was exclusive to Microsoft's Xbox 360 so needless to say until Tecmo and Team Ninja confirm this it is purely speculation at the present time.
To quote: "Look at Image! PS3 controller buttons. I just obtained this leaked image, that is all. :P Don't ask me how I got it, let's just say through the hard work on this idea site.
Too bad I'm not a journalist so therefore I can't contact Tecmo Koei about this. If you are a journalist, do me (us readers) a favor and get in touch with PR of TK-A/TKE about this image.
The main thing is if Tecmo Koei sees the hit about this, they would consider announcing DOA 5 at Tokyo Game Show 2010 because people seem to be interested in DOA 5 even after it's long absence for 4 years."
184w ago - Recently we revealed a few new PS3 models uncovered through the FCC, and today CVG.com (linked above) reports that Sony plans to launch new PlayStation 3 SKUs that will include a 500GB HDD and come bundled with the Move Motion Controller.
The new PlayStation 3 bundles are also reported to include faster internal Wi-Fi cards, specifically 802.11n versus 802.11 b/g.
To quote: "Sony plans to release 500GB and 250GB versions of its slimline powerhouse bundled with the new motion controller later this year, according to our industry source in Los Angeles.
We were also told that the new PS3s will come with new faster internal Wi-Fi cards (802.11n, for those of you who know what that means). Current PS3s come with the slower 802.11 b/g standard Wi-Fi.
Basically, that means new PS3's connection to PSN and the Internet will be faster if you have an 802.11n-compatible router."
184w ago - According to French site Gameblog.fr (linked above), Nintendo is planning to announce the previously rumored Wii 2 which is codenamed Wii HiFi at E3 2010 next week.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the manufacturer would conclude his lecture by unveiling its next home console, named Wii is currently code HiFi!
We learn in the aftermath the next home console from Big N would be calibrated for release in November 2011.
• It would have a power similar to that of an Xbox 360
• It should not be called "Wii 2", but Wii HiFi (in any case the code name leaked)
• It would be very oriented online
• One of the main features is the community
• It would be released in November 2011"
