64w ago - 2K Games Senior Community Manager Ronnie Singh posted up a video below today announcing that NBA 2K14's Eco-Motion Engine brings players to life on PS4.

To quote: What an exciting year for everyone in the video game industry. The team here at 2K has seen a lot over the years, and experienced countless new system launches.

But we've never seen one like this year, with the launch of PS4. It's an old cliche that new technology allows developers to take their products to the next level, but that's never been truer than now.

As work began on NBA 2K14 for PS4, the next-gen technology inspired our developers at Visual Concepts to develop a completely new experience from the ground up. NBA 2K14 on PS4 will feature re-built game modes, stunning life-like graphics, and a brand new gameplay engine.

With that said, 2K is excited to unveil the all-new Eco-Motion Engine for NBA 2K14 on PS4. With Eco-Motion, the entire NBA experience comes to life in ways never before seen in a video game, including crowd reactions, atmosphere, coaching strategies, real player voices, and most of all the emotion of the game.

64w ago - HumaNature Studios Founder Greg Johnson made available a video today on discovering humanity in Doki-Doki Universe which arrives this December.

To quote: Greetings fellow humans! I'm Greg Johnson (creator of Toejam and Earl) and I run HumaNature Studios, the small Northern Ca. studio that has been busy building Doki-Doki Universe for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. I hope you'll enjoy seeing the trailer and pretty soon, our game.

I'm here today to talk a bit about how we're creating Doki Doki Universe, which will be available in December 2013 for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.

In Doki-Doki Universe you play the role of a forlorn little robot named Model QT377665 (QT3 for short). You have been abandoned by your human family and are about to get scrapped by the factory that made you, unless you can prove that you're able to learn more about what it means to be human.

On your journey to become more human, you travel across planets and meet all sorts of crazy characters to help solve their problems. You can even take fun personality quizzes where the doctor will evaluate your progress. Along the way, we hope you find something out about yourself too.

If this is your first time seeing Doki-Doki...

Video: MLB 14 The Show Coming to PS4, PS3, PS Vita Spring 2014

64w ago - Sports Product Marketing Manager Tyler Vaught announced today alongside a video that MLB 14 The Show is coming to PS4, PS3, PS Vita in Spring 2014.

To quote: The 2013 baseball season may have just ended, but we're not ready to stop talking baseball here at PlayStation. We're proud to announce the award-winning MLB The Show series will be coming to the PS4 system next spring with MLB 14 The Show. The beloved franchise will also launch on the PS3 and PS Vita systems, making PlayStation your home for baseball.

With a new generation of consoles comes a new face for MLB The Show. Last year, you - the fan - voted on which superstar should be on the cover, and chose superstar Andrew McCutchen of the Pittsburgh Pirates. With this year's iteration of The Show, we did something that's never been done in video game history - we let the ball players vote.

Our cover athlete was chosen by his fellow players, by the opponents who compete against him day in and day out. Every player in the big leagues had the opportunity to nominate one player for this year's cover, and earlier tonight at the 2013 Player's Choice Awards on the MLB Network, the winner was revealed.

We're proud to announce that eight-time All-Star, 2012 American League Most Valuable Player, 2012 American League Triple-Crown...

68w ago - Frictional Games Creative Director Thomas Grip shared a video today spotlighting SOMA, an upcoming Sci-Fi Horror title to Sony's PlayStation 4 video game console.

Below are the details, to quote: Hi, I am Thomas Grip, creative director at [Register or Login to view links], an indie studio based in Sweden.

We have been crafting horror games since 2006 and are probably most famous for having created [Register or Login to view links]. Previously, we have only developed for PC, but this time our new title will be released for PS4 as well!

For the last three years, we have been working on a game called SOMA. All that time, this project has remained a secret – it's a great relief to finally be able to talk about it. This game is by far the most ambitious and thrilling project we have ever undertaken.

So, what exactly is SOMA? Briefly stated, it is a sci-fi horror game played from a first person perspective. You are not a space marine though; you're a normal, very exposed person trapped in a nightmarish world. SOMA is a game about exploration, survival and immersing you inside an interactive narrative.

FIFA 14 on PS3 Today, Capturing the Emotion of Great Goals

100°
70w ago - EA Sports Line Producer Sebastian Enrique confirmed that FIFA 14 is on PS3 today alongside detailing the emotions captured from great goals below.

To quote: After playing past FIFAs and watching real-world football, we realized that we weren't quite capturing how emotional it feels to score a goal. In FIFA 14, we want people to really feel that emotion of scoring great goals.

In addition to the emotion in the context of a match, great goals are achieved by either (or both) great finishing and fantastic build up play.

The major changes and innovations we're bringing into gameplay this year enable players to create and feel those exhilarating moments that happen when they've assembled plays their own way through midfield.

Finishing is both earned and rewarding in FIFA 14. We're transforming the tempo of the game and inspiring players to build possession through midfield rather than sprint down the wings during box-to-box matches. Last year it was too easy to fall down into creating the same cheap chances over and over again.

Major changes to dribbling - with new features like Protect the Ball, Sprint Dribble Turns, and Variable Dribble Touches - create more of a midfield battle, and make the magical moment of a goal more rewarding.
