Today, February 12, we're all very proud to be celebrating the one year anniversary of Flower's release on the PSN! Before I get onto the news, perhaps I should recap for those of you who aren't familiar with Flower.
Flower is a completely new experience in gaming that takes you on an emotional journey through vivid and beautiful landscapes. In it, you guide the wind to collect flower petals, float above grassy hills, and paint the world with color and light.
Since its debut, it has won a ton of awards and recognitions, from critics and fans alike, as a truly unique experience and ground-breaking game.
If you missed it, here's Jenova and Kellee accepting the award for Best Indie Game at the Spike...
222w ago - Today Q-Games Ltd. President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert has shared some updates on Star Dust, Dynamic PS3 Themes and their favorite Little Tikiman, as follows:
Well, Q-Games has been busy again, and not just on PixelJunk. You may have noticed some new additions to the PlayStation 3's XMB (Xross Media Bar) with the latest firmware update to version 3.00.
Well, we're behind the "star dust" and if you haven't noticed it yet, you're in for a nice surprise. We wanted to implement something like the beginning of the movie Gattaca but they wouldn't let us go quite that far, so we settled on the subtle but pretty dust effect you can see now. If you shake the Wireless Controller, you can move them about a bit, as if they are being carried by eddies in the wind.
Also, there are these new things called Dynamic Themes, and we're proud to say that this is a system we were involved in developing. Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) wanted to spice up the background a bit and static pictures just didn't cut the mustard.
So we collaborated with them to make a system where developers can display what they want and animate and move them around. This definitely adds a little life to the PS3's background so be sure...

260w ago - Insomniac Games Community Manager Bryan Intihar shared the following today on the PlayStation Blog:
We know what some of you are thinking: "Well, Resistance 2 has shipped–I betcha Insomniac is sitting back, cracking a cold one, and taking it easy 'til after the holidays." In the words of ESPN college football analyst Lee Corso: NOT so fast, my friend!
We've been on the message boards reading your Resistance 2 feedback, letting it soak in, and working diligently on patches (Yes, more updates are on the way, and no, I don't have a definitive date for the next patch. But trust me–it's in the works). We also have some really cool new community features coming to MyResistance.net over the next few weeks. Expect another blog post soon with more details.
New Resistance 2 Trailer: Free PS3 themes and map packs won't be the only reason to visit the PlayStation Store on 12/11. We've also cut a new Resistance 2 trailer, which features some really epic moments from the game. I'd say it's my favorite trailer we've put together for this title.
Now, since this is the holiday season, we figured it was time to provide you with some Resistance-related gifts that won't do any damage...
