Toxic Games Announces Q.U.B.E. 2 is Coming to PlayStation 4

1w ago - Toxic Games Managing Director Dan Da Rocha announced today that Q.U.B.E. 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: Hello, Toxic Games here. You may have heard of our first game called Q.U.B.E, which came out on PC in 2012 and is heading to PS3 and PS4 soon. Well, we're now working on the sequel, Q.U.B.E. .

On the team we have the original line-up including myself Dan Da Rocha, Dave Hall, and Jon Savery. Since the launch of the original game we have been busy working on adding extra content to the original to form Q.U.B.E. Director's Cut and are now focusing on bringing Q.U.B.E. to PS4.

The sequel is going to refine the core mechanics of the original. There will be a slew of new and exciting puzzles that will boggle your mind, and a tightly woven narrative which will further expand the Q.U.B.E. universe. Oh, and it's being developed in Unreal Engine 4, so dem cubes are going to be extra shiny... just when you thought cubes couldn't look any better!

And to top it all off, we plan to support Project Morpheus. We've already taken the hardware for a spin and it's shaping up to be something fantastic so we can't wait to get our hands (or gloves?) on a kit to begin developing for it!

1w ago - Valkyrie Entertainment President Joakim Wejdemar shared a video trailer today announcing Guns Up is coming to PS4, PS3 and PlayStation Vita platforms!

To quote: Greetings, Commander. Welcome to [Register or Login to view links], our free-to-play action strategy game for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita that puts you in the role of a General deploying units to the battlefield and working your way toward annihilating your enemy and destroying their base.

This is no walk in the park, though - you're going to need to manage your resources to ensure that you can send the right troops for the right job.

Snipers, heavy machine gunners, RPG carriers, armored vehicles, and even air strikes are there as part of your strategy, so choose wisely. You'll also use your resources to build and protect your base from other players' invasions.

Although GUNS UP! is our first full title, we're no stranger to the industry. We've spent the last decade providing high quality art work for other developers on titles such as inFAMOUS Second Son and League of Legends.

We're really excited to bring our vision of action and strategy together in a way...

1w ago - Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Studio Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa shared a video spotlighting new PS4 combat details on Bloodborne for PlayStation 4 below today.

To quote: Hello, PlayStation fans. This is Masaaki Yamagiwa from Japan Studio. I am pleased to present our brand new gameplay trailer and some new gameplay details about the PlayStation 4 exclusive Bloodborne.

This week is the first public hands-on with Bloodborne at the Gamescom show in Germany, so we have lots to talk about. The three new themes From Software is pursuing with Bloodborne are: fear and exploring the unknown, intense life-and-death battles, and new and unique online experiences.

A big part of the fun is exploring a mysterious new world. The creepy and sometimes horrific gothic world of Bloodborne will be brought to life on the PS4 in amazing detail through the beautiful yet somber architecture; attention to detail in the environment; gorgeous lighting from the light of the moon, lanterns and fires burning in the street; and a trusty torch to light your way through dark and dangerous spaces.

Exploring the unknown can be a harrowing experience, especially in a game like Bloodborne where death and madness can be lurking around every corner.

At E3 we introduced players the city of Yharnam,...

Video: Open-world Winter Sports Game SNOW is Coming to PS4

1w ago - Poppermost Productions CEO and Game Director Alexander Bergendahl shared a video today announcing that open-world Winter Sports game SNOW is coming to PS4.

Below are the details, to quote: My name is Alexander Bergendahl and I am the CEO and Game Director of Poppermost Productions, an indie studio from Stockholm, Sweden.

Poppermost was formed in 2012 and we have quickly grown from a team of three into a team of 10, thanks largely to the success of our first title, SNOW, on PC. Today, we couldn't be more excited to announce that SNOW will be released as a console exclusive on PS4.

With diverse employee experience in modding, AAA and indie development, Poppermost was formed to create something different.

With SNOW, our goal is to build the world's first free-to-play, open world, winter sports experience - a game that never restricts the player, but instead empowers them to play however they want.

Most of the Poppermost team grew up skiing and snowboarding during winter holidays, so we wanted to create a game that really captured the rush of speeding down the mountain, the tranquility of being in nature, and the creativity of executing tricks in the park and backcountry.
