255w ago - Today SCEA Associate Producer Chris Hinojosa-Miranda shared some Patapon 2 tidbits along with the PSP launch trailer for those who haven't seen it yet.

To quote: To celebrate the launch of Patapon 2, a few weeks ago we asked fans out there to show us their Pata-devotion and send us some Pata-pics. And boy did they deliver... check out all the Pata-pics on Facebook!

Thanks to all the fans out there for the great photos. For their effort they will all score a limited edition Patapon tee based on the HOME shirt we made.

For the Pata-faithful who are craving one of these shirts, be sure to join Jeff and crew for the meet up at E3. Word is he might have some Pata-luv to share as well.

Great weekend to everyone and thanks for all the Patapon support! If you didn€t catch the Launch trailer yet, here you go!

Video: Critter Crunch Trailer for PlayStation 3 Available

258w ago - Today Capy's Creative Director Kris Piotrowski shared a Critter Crunch PS3 trailer via Sony's PlayStation Blog.

To quote: This is Kris. I€m the creative director at Capy, which means I€m by-far the coolest guy at the studio. And Capy is pretty cool, so that€s not just talk.

Anyway, who is Capy, right? Well, Capy is an indie studio from the sometimes frozen, other times disgustingly humid Canadian wonderland known as Toronto.

So, um, check this trailer... but only if you€re down with technicolor barf!

Boing! That was me announcing Critter Crunch for PlayStation Network!

Everyone at Capy has been working super-hard creating this crazy little arcade-puzzler (and filling it with humongous doses of love) so we€re very excited to finally announce its existence. Critter Crunch is fueled by an original and award-winning €food chain€ puzzle mechanic, which is all about feeding critters into each other until they burst. It€s exactly as cute as it is horrible and sad, just like nature itself!

The game features a bunch of single player modes like adventure & puzzle, as well as online and local multiplayer in versus & co-op flavors, with a plethora of fancy...

Video: PlayStation Home Mystery 'Xi' Teaser Trailer Available

100°
266w ago - Recently there have been subtle hints in Sony's PlayStation Home including messages like the "Xi is almost ready." It appears Xi is launching imminently in PlayStation Home, but what is it?

Currently nobody knows what 'Xi' is, however, today a mysterious video emerged in PlayStation Home. Those interested can view the video via the European PlayStation Home's Square on the big screen (between the marketplace and in cinema) or via VideoGamer.com.

To quote: If you can stand watching this minute and a half of annoying flashes, then you just might get an early glimpse of "Xi" for PlayStation Home.

The new teaser trailer features a series of random images meshed together by blurry transitions and it's accompanied by the most painful shutter sound effects ever. Be warned, you might feel dizzy watching it.

We don't learn much from the teaser, though we can spot some clues pointing to what it could be. A symbol (image below) is seen as wall graffiti in Home. Given the distinct, enigmatic nature of the trailer, we're assuming this could be some sort of mystery-thriller/puzzle clue hunting game within Home.

It could also be related to that odd message discovered...

Video: Debut Split/Second Trailer for PlayStation 3 Available

200°
267w ago - As promised, last night's episode of GameTrailers TV brought the first look at Pure developer Black Rock Studio's upcoming racing title, Split/Second, for the PS3.

To quote: Keighley's ominous warning seems accurate - it appears to be trying to give Burnout a run for its money. However, rather than participating in high-speed (probably illegal) street racing for your own amusement, it looks like Split/Second will be placing your automotive exploits in front of an enraptured televised audience.

Split/Second will also add a neat gameplay element hinted at in the trailer - it looks like players will be able to "trigger" destructive events on the track in order to impede their opponents (or themselves, if they're not on top of their respective games).

Watch the trailer if you want an example. The developers promise further info about the game next Wednesday.
