Video: Space Hulk: Deathwing Coming to PlayStation 4 in 2015

4w ago - Streum On Studio Lead Level Designer Pierrick Le Nestour announced today alongside a PS4 video trailer that Space Hulk: Deathwing is coming to PlayStation 4 in 2015.

To quote: Hello, readers, we're from Streum On Studio. Today, we're glad to present to you our baby, Space Hulk: Deathwing, planned for launch in 2015 on PS4.

Watch this brand new trailer using the game's engine, the beautiful Unreal Engine 4.

For those not familiar with the game, Space Hulk: Deathwing is a first-person shooter experience of Games Workshop's classic Space Hulk board game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

Space Hulk: Deathwing offers players the chance to experience a desperate battle against Genestealers in the claustrophobic tunnels of a Space Hulk, as they gain skills, new abilities, and new equipment thanks to experience earned during perilous missions.

Space Hulks drift along the currents of the Warp, the immaterial dimension of Chaos. Made up of gigantic mangled asteroids, derelict ship wrecks, and other spatial debris, they sometimes grow to the size of a moon and often contain treasured and ancient lost technologies. However, they are ripe with danger including infestations of the lethal Genestealers.

Video: No Man's Sky on PS4: The Ambitions of Hello Games

4w ago - Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton revealed the ambitions of Hello Games in No Man's Sky on PS4 today complete with a PlayStation 4 video trailer below.

To quote: One of the undisputed highlights of our E3 2014 media briefing was the moment when Hello Games' visibly nervous Sean Murray clambered on stage to show off No Man's Sky, his team's remarkable open-universe, science fiction epic which will debut on PS4.

As you'll hopefully have ascertained in the press coverage since (and in Sean's blog post), there's extraordinary ambition on display here, especially given the size of the Hello team, and it was no surprise that it was arguably the buzz game of the show.

48 hours after his moment under the E3 spotlight, we were lucky enough to sit down with Sean and learn the story behind Hello's journey from humble beginnings in Guildford, UK to the biggest stage in gaming, surviving natural disasters in the process.

Not only that but he also laid bare his mind-boggling vision for what No Man's Sky will be. Trust me, this one is well worth a watch...

Video: Sniper Elite 3 Hits PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 Tuesday

4w ago - Rebellion Head of Creative Tim Jones announced today alongside a video that Sniper Elite 3 hits PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on Tuesday.

To quote: We're really excited to get Sniper Elite 3 out there on PS4 and PS3 next week. It's the sniper game the fans really wanted, and we're glad that we have been able to deliver.

Right after Sniper Elite V2 we asked the fans what they thought about that game - the good bits, the bad bits, and what needed to happen in Sniper Elite 3.

The DLC development on Sniper Elite V2 really paved the way for SE3, as it allowed us to R&D the expansive environments that were to become the core of Sniper Elite 3. We really wanted to offer true choice to the player, a non-linear experience that allowed you to tackle objectives in the order and way you saw fit.

We know a lot of fans were frustrated that stealth was really hard in Sniper Elite V2 - it was very easy to get detected, and very hard to know if the enemy could see you or not. That's all changed in Sniper Elite 3 - you really can go loud or be quiet as you choose.

Of course, a good sniper is as quiet as possible, but if you need or want to go loud we've also added a 'relocate' mechanic - after all,...

Action Button Announces Tuffy the Corgi Out on PlayStation Mobile

50°
4w ago - Action Button Entertainment Founder and Director Tim Rogers announced that Tuffy the Corgi is out now on PlayStation Mobile.

To quote: When I was ten years old and my parents weren't paying me to mow the lawn yet, my grandmother wrote me a birthday check for fifty dollars instead of five dollars.

The most remarkable part is maybe that she wrote "fifty" on the check: "F-I-F-T-Y." My mom wanted me to give it back. My dad persuaded my mom to let me keep the money.

I used that fifty dollars to buy Super Mario Bros. 3.

I have played Super Mario Bros. 3 every year on my birthday after that. I have a long standing custom where I play every level in the game, from start to finish - no warping, and (hopefully) no dying.

I'm an "adult" now, so I invite friends over to play the game with me. On my twenty-fifth birthday, I managed to get all the way through every level in the entire game without taking a single hit. I'm proud of that. I then said to myself, "I'd sure like to make a game like this someday."

Well, June 7th was my thirty-fifth birthday. It's been ten years since I finished my perfect game of Super Mario Bros. 3, and I still haven't ever worked on a game like it.
