Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package PS3 DLC Hits PSN Tomorrow

224w ago - Last week we announced news of the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package Expansion for PS3, and today Infinity Ward's Creative Strategist Robert Bowling has confirmed that it will arrive tomorrow on PlayStation Network and shared details, as follows:

Tomorrow, May 4th, will be an onslaught of Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer goodness on the PlayStation Network!

First and foremost, the first downloadable content for [Register or Login to view links] – The Stimulus Package – will hit the PSN Store for $14.99 and bring with it five new maps to the multiplayer of MW2.

Included in those five new maps are two classic Call of Duty 4 maps that we all know and love, and three completely new locations that offer a variety of unique locations for your favorite gametypes. The Stimulus Package includes:

• Bailout - An American apartment complex that is amazing for objective gametypes, especially Capture the Flag, but one of those maps that works well regardless of what type of game you're playing it on. Its long sightlines – like sniping from a blown-out wall of a second-story apartment suite – give it some nice spots for long-range...
 

Modern Warfare 2 PS3 Stimulus Package Expansion is Incoming

225w ago - PlayStation Store Senior Manager Grace Chen has blogged a reminder today that beginning next week the US PSN update will be held on Tuesdays, with both a Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package expansion and Fat Princess: A Fistful of Cake for PSP kicking it off.

To quote: As some of you may have heard, the weekly PlayStation Store Update is packing up its belongings and moving... from Thursday to Tuesday.

So, beginning next Tuesday, May 4, I'll be back to share the latest PlayStation Store content updates with everyone.

Modern Warfare 2 PS3 Patch 1.09 Live, Care Package Glitch Fixed

235w ago - Today Modern Warfare 2 becomes playable once more, as the care package glitch has been fixed in PS3 Patch version 1.09.

To quote from FourZeroTwo (AKA Robert Bowling):

"Another day, another update. Sony is pushing out the rest of the Care Package fix to #MW2 PS3 players today. Hooray! EU first / NA later."

Those who start Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will find themselves needing to download patch 1.09.

The patch weighs in similar to the previous Modern Warfare 2 patches at approximately 15MB in size.

PSN Package Auto-Renamer v1.00 for PlayStation 3 is Released

246w ago - Here is the first version 1.00 of my PSN Package Auto-Renamer for PlayStation 3.

If you download .PKG files from the Debug PlayStation Network Links or Retail PlayStation Network Links pages then it will simply rename them from the PSN hash to their proper ServiceID for collectors and developers.

Download: PSN Package Auto-Renamer v1.00 for PS3

It requires [Register or Login to view links] installed to run it, and then just drag and drop PlayStation 3 package(s) file(s) into the software window to rename them correctly.

Example: Smash Cars PSN hash is:
