Payday: The Heist update - we are close to being able to confirm the release date of Payday: The Heist and are just waiting for SOE to provide 100% confirmation, which we hope will be with us later today. SCEE and SOE are working hard to get the game in your hands as soon as possible; thank you for your patience.
Hello everybody and welcome to another addition of the PSN Store's 'Heads - Up.' With Halloween just round the corner we have our Halloween Sale starting this week, and below you'll fine some examples. There is loads of content for everyone to enjoy.
We also have lots of new content coming to the store this week; to start with we have the greatly anticipated Battlefield 3 (I have been waiting so long myself for this game.) This will be available from Friday 28th October at 00:01 GMT.
Today you will also be able to download Infamous - Festival Of Blood which is a stand-alone version of InFamous where vampires have swarmed into New Marais and Cole - the one person who can save the city - has been bitten. Cole now has one night to battle through the bloodsucking hordes and slay the head vampire; otherwise his soul will be lost forever. Sounds...
82w ago - PlayStation Store Director Grace Chen is here with this weeks US PSN updates today, as follows:
It's the final week of celebrating Only On PSN with the release of 2 exclusive PSN titles: inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood and PixelJunk SideScroller!
Don't forget that this is also the last week that you can purchase these, or any other content from the Store to go towards the $60 threshold to receive $10 back in November.
inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood delivers a darker adventure for Cole; complete with new powers, (did we mention he flies?) a new look for the city of New Marais, and access to the complete suite of User Generated Content tools. This downloadable inFAMOUS adventure is standalone and doesn't require you to have previous inFAMOUS titles to play it.
Click here to check out the entire Only On PSN lineup.
For classic shmup action with a twist, you'll want to get your hands on PixelJunk SideScroller. Q Games puts the PixelJunk twist on the genre with luminescent visuals, incredible bosses, and unforgettable powerups and weaponry to take on the masses.
Other PSN Games arriving this week include the now HD arcade classic Daytona USA, the hilarious puzzle action of Worms Crazy Golf, and just in...

One of the most anticipated shooters of the year, Battlefield 3 brings to the PS3 stunning visuals and exclusive early access to Back to Karkand DLC.
Just in time to celebrate all things that go bump in the night this Halloween, a festival of blood parades down the streets of New Marais, in inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood, with added PSMove Support. The PixelJunk team returns this time with a unique take on arcade shooters in the PSN exclusive, PixelJunk SideScroller.
The House of Dead series returns to the PlayStation Move, bringing an overkill of visual fidelity in high-definition and 3D. Experience the pulp-action light-gun shooter, House of the Dead: Overkill (The Extended Cut) this week. PSN also brings a Resistance 3 demo, and full digital downloads of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Homefront. Enjoy this week's The Drop.

82w ago - Q-Games Ltd President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert has announced today alongside a video that PixelJunk Sidescroller is coming to PSN on October 25th with details below.
To quote: PixelJunk SideScroller is not far from your hands! Yes, it has kind of crept up upon us, but the release date is 1st of November October 25th in North America.
I really can't emphasize enough how really, really good, old-school fun SideScroller has turned out to be. I'm sure some of you have played the "bonus" stage in PixelJunk Shooter 2 called "The Road to Dawn", well that is what gave us the urge to make an entire side scrolling shoot-em-up game!
Back in the day I used to love games such as R-Type and Darius, and going even further back there were games such as Scramble and Defender that inspired me as a child.
So... we decided to dip our toes in and see what PixelJunk could bring to the side-scroller world.
We used the same engine as for the two Shooter titles, but the game itself is entirely different. To begin with this is a single-stick controlled game rather than the dual-stick control we had in Shooter, which makes it even more addictive and easy...
