Ringzero: Burn The Rope Sizzles Onto PlayStation Vita Next Week

200°
81w ago - Ringzero Game Studio General Manager Franck Blaevoet has announced today that Burn The Rope will be sizzling onto PlayStation Vita next week.

To quote: Hi everyone, I'm Franck from Ringzero Game Studio and I'm happy to announce the release of Burn the Rope for PS Vita on 10th October.

Burn the Rope is an original game where you must burn as much rope as possible at each level. To start burning the rope you simply tap the touch screen wherever there is rope. Once the rope starts burning you can control the flame by rotating the screen.

The flame always burns up and it will burn out if it runs out of rope. The speed at which the flame travels along the rope is determined by the angle of the rope.

You can also control the flame using the touch screen as well as rotating the Vita. You can even use the rear touch panel (so your fingers won't block the view).

You can also pinch on the rear touch pad to zoom in or zoom out the view. This can help if you have really big fingers or are all thumbs J. Oh, it also helps if you want to be more precise in starting the flame.

As you progress through the levels, you will encounter bugs crawling along the rope. Different bugs react differently to the flame, but we are...

Video: Wrath Of The Dead Rabbit Terrorises PS Plus Next Month

50°
83w ago - SEGA Digital Campaigns Manager Mike Kebby has shared some video footage today of Wrath Of The Dead Rabbit which will be hitting PlayStation Plus next month.

To quote: It's been some months since we first announced the latest digital title welcomed into the SEGA family, Hell Yeah!

Wrath of the Dead Rabbit, and I thought it was finally time to visit the PlayStation Blog and reveal more about our exciting* new game.

*Exciting can also be taken to mean: insanely creative, off-the-wall, bonkers, delirium inducing, and as many other unnecessary descriptive phrases as I can muster

Hell Yeah! puts you in control of Ash, a devil rabbit and the prince of Hell. In a storyline that I'm sure most blog readers will empathise with (well, maybe), Ash is the victim of a vicious smear campaign, as somebody posts sordid bath-time images of him up on the 'Hell-ternet'.

So, at its core, Hell Yeah! is a tale of revenge - a story of the little-man standing up for himself. That this little-man is in fact a devil rabbit, and the prince of Hell, just gives it a little more edge. In fact, Ash wants to ensure that everybody who has seen the photos suffers, which is where you step in.

As you can see from the above below, Ash does have...

Video: Dragon Fantasy Book II Coming to PS3 and PS Vita Next Year

250°
86w ago - Muteki Corporation President, CEO and Founder Bryan Sawler has confirmed today that classic RPG love in the form of Dragon Fantasy Book II is coming PS3 and PS Vita next year.

To quote: Building the first Dragon Fantasy was an amazing experience. And after pouring your heart and soul into a project like that, you can only think "Where do I go from here?".

After we'd really pushed the limits of 8-bit gameplay and graphics with the first game, we knew it was time to bump the game a "generation". This meant being a lot more ambitious with what we wanted to do, and bigger ambitions require bigger support.

So with the support of SCEA's Pub Fund, we're thrilled to announce Dragon Fantasy Book II is headed for PS3 and PS Vita next year on PSN!

Originally, we had planned to follow the original three chapters of 8-bit style with another three chapters in a more 16-bit style. We planned to do a slow and steady progression, chapter by chapter adding more and more features.

But as soon as we started work on the new chapters we quickly found ourselves aiming squarely at the end of that generation immediately. We didn't want to start out simple again as we had already done that. We wanted to make the best RPG...

Video: Papo And Yo: The Adventure Begins on PSN Next Week

50°
89w ago - Creative Director Vander Caballero at Minority has posted up a video today announcing that the Papo and Yo adventure begins on PSN next week.

To quote: It's hard to believe that Papo & Yo is so close to launch!

This story has been in my heart for a long time, but thanks to the hard work of the whole team at Minority you all will finally be able to experience it next Tuesday, August 14th.

To celebrate the upcoming launch, we wanted to share something special with all of you. Although we are a small indie studio, we are lucky to have been able to work with the experienced filmmakers at Rezolution Pictures and talented Montreal director Alfonso Maiorana.

They have created an amazing cinematic launch trailer for our game that not only shows the start of Quico's story, but also the inspiration behind Papo & Yo's fantastic world. We hope you like it!

Since we are part of Sony's PSN PLAY promotion this year, PlayStation Plus members can pre-order Papo & Yo starting today for $11.99, and non-subscribers can do the same for $14.99.

You can also get part of that money back if you buy some of the other wonderful PSN PLAY titles from our fellow...
