What do you do when a notorious, intergalactic criminal is being transported along the edges of space? Ask Ratchet and Clank to come along for the ride! Experience the epilogue to the Future series with Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus, a new, story-driven adventure starring a classic gaming duo.

With Into the Nexus, the team at Insomniac Games has once again built a planet-jumping tale of adventure and daring. The story follows Ratchet and Clank as they work to stop the terrifyingly powerful Vendra Prog, whose intentions defy the very boundaries of the dimension.

Into the Nexus features brand new weapons, new planets to explore, and - of course - the iconic humor that series fans will recognize right from the start. Into the Nexus will be available in stores and on PlayStation Store this coming Tuesday.

But Ratchet and Clank aren't the only brave souls facing an alien threat this week. XCOM: Enemy Within is also launching for PS3 on the 12th. Fans of XCOM: Enemy Unknown, take note: Enemy Within is a huge, standalone expansion that incorporates everything from the first strategy experience, but with a staggering number of additions.

Sony Releases PS Vita / PlayStation Vita TV FAQ, Questions Answered

45w ago - Following up on the previous announcement, today Sony has released an official PlayStation Vita TV FAQ with many questions answered below.

To quote: Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia just released an [Register or Login to view links] for the PlayStation Vita TV, answering a lot of common, and some not so common questions about the upcoming hardware.

Of course the FAQ is fully in Japanese, as the PS Vita still doesn’t have a western release date, but since many are hungry for more information on the lovely little device that Sony is so cruelly keeping away from our greedy western hands, I included a full translation below.

Q: Do I need the PlayStation Vita to play with the PlayStation Vita TV?

A: You don’t need the PlayStation Vita to play with the PlayStation Vita TV, however there are a few things you do need.

  • Monitor or TV – HDMI Input required.
  • Wireless Controller DualShock 3.
  • Internet connection is necessary to use various kinds of content and video services and some games.

Brace yourself. It's an absolutely massive week in the world of PlayStation, as assassins, soldiers, shadow lords, and wrestlers roar onto the scene in a varied torrent of gaming goodness. Stock up on snacks, friends. You may be playing for a while.

Leading the pack is the hotly anticipated return of the Assassin's Creed series, with all its intoxicating intrigue and wide-open play.

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag makes its PS3 debut, and sends gamers on a wild adventure piercing the heart of the Caribbean. Play as the cunning Edward Kenway as he sails into danger and fortune. Experience yet another piece in the great puzzle that is the Assassin Templar war.

But Black Flag isn't the only continuation of a long-running series this week. Battlefield 4 is launching on PS3, bringing with it the sizzling visuals and immense action that fans have come to expect from the developers at DICE.

To quote: Don your cape and cowl - the Batman Arkham series is readying its return, along with Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It's a tremendous week of superheroes and cybernetics in this week's Drop.

Lauded for its gritty visuals and stellar play, the Arkham games have garnered a huge following in the world of gaming. That tradition is sure to continue with Batman: Arkham Origins, a prequel to Rocksteady's revolutionary first two games in the series.

The latest Batman features the intense, single-player experience you'd expect from an Arkham game, but will also include a robust online suite for gamers to compete within.

But Batman isn't the only dark hero making a comeback this week. Adam Jensen, with all his powerful augmentations, slinks back to PS3 in Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut. An enhanced version of the already well-loved original, the Director's Cut includes The Missing Link DLC, as well as other improvements.
