200°
48w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman shared a teaser video dubbed Burial at Sea and interview today featuring Ken Levine discussing BioShock Infinite's Return to Rapture below.

To quote: BioShock Infinite garnered wide acclaim this spring for its mind-bending story and fantastic environments.

But the announcement of Burial at Sea - a two-part adventure that sets Infinite protagonists Booker DeWitt and Elizabeth in the underwater city of Rapture - might just be Irrational's most ambitious and exciting project yet.

Creative Director Ken Levine kindly took a few minutes from his schedule to answer our pesky questions about the upcoming downloadable episodes.

PlayStation.Blog: What compelled Irrational to return to Rapture for BioShock Infinite's Burial at Sea DLC episodes?

Ken Levine, Creative Director, Irrational Games: We never wanted to return to Rapture unless there was something new to say; a new story to tell that wasn't just bringing to life the story that we already told.

We found that there was a Booker and Elizabeth story to tell in Rapture that we got very excited about. A fresh new story focused on the main characters of Infinite and the only...

Ready At Dawn: Building a New London for The Order: 1886 on PS4

200°
48w ago - Ready At Dawn Studios CEO and Creative Director Ru Weerasuriya announced today that they are building a new London for The Order: 1886 on PS4.

To quote: When creating our alternate history in The Order: 1886, our goal was to make the environment as believable as possible while at the same time adding our own twist to real places.

With the release of our trailer back at E3, we hinted at our vision of an alternate London.

This Neo-Victorian London will seem familiar to everyone, however, advances in technology will take center stage in many ways as you navigate the city. One of the main examples is the advent of electricity throughout the city, well before its time.

Gas lamps are replaced by electric street lights. Everywhere you go, you can hear the hum of electricity running through the city.

The London subway system is present in our version of the world, but it's much more advanced than it was in real life. Certain sections of the subway system run above ground in between buildings throughout the city. Electric signs line the streets making some areas of London almost look like Times Square.

The other big change you will witness is in the skyline of London. Although the familiar sights of Big Ben, St. Paul's, and the Tower Bridge are present,...

Curve Studios: Stealth Inc Sneaks Onto PS3 and PS Vita Today

50°
52w ago - Curve Studios Lead Designer Sam Robinson announced that Stealth Inc is sneaking onto PS3 and PS Vita platforms today.

To quote: To start off PlayStation Store PLAY, Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark is sneaking onto PS3 and PS Vita today. Well, we say "sneaking," but we're shouting about this from the rooftops. What's the opposite of sneaking? Unsneaking?

Whatever it is we're doing, we're proud to finally be releasing our game after many months of work, to bring you the best version of Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark ever to grace the gaming world.

Stealth Inc is a game that was developed around a simple idea: Why do Stealth games have to be so slow? We love Stealth games in the office. For us, the best parts are the evasion, the thrill of outsmarting your enemies and the satisfaction of working out the ideal path.

We wanted to make a game that focused on these parts, and skipped the bits where you're waiting around for a guard to move out the way, or running back to a hiding place because you've been discovered.

You know what happens when you're discovered in Stealth Inc? You explode. We aren't kidding about that. Except we are kind of kidding around a little bit.

The story is told through writing that appears on the walls, and if you're...

Video: Puppeteer Interview: Delving Into Japan Studio's Platformer

50°
53w ago - Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton shared a video interview today which delves deeper into Japan Studio's incredible platformer called Puppeteer below!

To quote: Shameless favoritism alert: PlayStation Blog ruddy loves Puppeteer. It's one of the liveliest, loveliest and most downright out-there platformers to come along in years, and plays beautifully to boot.

It arrives in stores on 11th September, and if it's not on your radar yet, it's time to stick a pin in it. This is a game unlike any other you'll see on shelves this year.

With just a few weeks left of development, we caught up with the game's director, the ever-insightful Gavin Moore, last week to delve a little deeper into his deviously dark creation.

When we spoke last year you explained that you were making Puppeteer so that you had something to play with your young son. What's his verdict now that he's been able to play it?

Gavin Moore: He loves it! He likes playing it either on his own or with his Dad, which is nice.

If I'm playing Kutaro and he's playing the secondary character - Picarina or YinYang - he tries to kill me all the time because he wants to be Kutaro. He thinks Kutaro is him,...
