90w ago - Today Director of Art Steve Beran has shared some video footage of Mortal Kombat PS3 Development at NetherRealm Studios.
To quote: I'm really happy to see the upcoming release of the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, which hits PSN next Tuesday, August 30th.
The MKAK is a great way to relive the classic Mortal Kombat arcade games right in your own living room, but I'm also excited that players who enjoyed this year's new Mortal Kombat will soon have the opportunity to play the first three games that set the foundation for the entire fighting-game franchise.
I was introduced to Mortal Kombat on April 20th, 1992. I was fresh out of art school and starting my career at Williams/Bally/Midway.
I remembered being overwhelmed that I was actually walking into the building where some of my favorite games were created: Narc, Robotron, Defender, and Smash TV just to name a few. Mortal Kombat was yet to be released. However there were a few Mortal Kombat prototypes lining the halls of Midway that we could test out.
I remember being just blown away by my first experiences with Mortal Kombat. What first struck me was the size of the digitized characters on the screen. They were huge! I remember selecting Kano as my first character: I was a big Terminator fan at the time,...
93w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has shared a Q&A video interview today with Ken Levine who discusses BioShock Infinite PS3 and his PlayStation Moves.
To quote: It's always a pleasure to speak with Ken Levine, creative director for the award-winnging BioShock and the PS3 dystopian epic BioShock Infinite.
Ken's been good enough to drop by before, bringing news of PlayStation Move support as well as an upcoming PS Vita BioShock game, but we've never been able to immortalize him in crisp HD video.
Until now. In Rey's lovingly produced video feature, Levine lays out his plan for Infinite domination, starting with creating a convincing relationship between lead characters Booker and Elizabeth as they seek to escape the crumbling city of Columbia.
Levine also touches on the origins of Songbird, a biomechanical beast that has jealously locked Elizabeth in the depths of Columbia since her birth. Songbird completes a warped sort of love triangle between Booker and Elizabeth that promises to play out in the game in a big way. "There's a lot of mystery around Songbird, and I think people will be surprised by his relationship with Elizabeth -- it's a complicated relationship that has elements of light and elements of darkness."

After the release of the initial pack, we received a ton of positive feedback about this game and we are very excited to release the next part of the Test Yourself experience. Users who complete all of the test blocks will receive a full psychological portrait and will better understand the complex characteristics of their states of mind.

101w ago - Following up on previous PS3 Kiosk to Retail and PS3 Demo to Retail methods, this weekend lite has made available a Kiosk2Retail PlayStation 3 MFW (Modified Firmware) that allows users to convert their consoles without downgrading for 3.55 Firmware and below.
To quote: I joined a PS3 MFW firmeware modified by me, you can use it to convert a PS3 on "Demo / Kiosk Mode" to Retail Mode, you must apply it in Recovery Mode. It will put a vsh update, and definitely get out your ps3 from demo mode to retail.
After that you have the choice to keep the FW on the PS3 and start your backups using the current managers, so the FW is functional.
Or you can call in OFW 3.55 to recover a Waninkoko, rebug or kmeaw...
The FW is in 3.55, patched with "promo-to-retail patch" which...
