Video: Super Mugen Bundle for PS3 Paintown is Now Available

1150°
97w ago - Hello peeps, following up on my previous update here is a new Mugen Pack for you I call my Super Mugen Bundle for PS3 Paintown!

I was up all night re-routing commands and making sure the characters I picked would work. Now in this download there are four folders an one read-me file (which is pretty much this whole post) This is the best pack I've done so far so I hope you all enjoy it.

To install just go to ''dev_hdd0'' ''game'' ''paintown_'' ''USRDIR'' ''data'' then ''mugen'' and DELETE your folders called ''chars'' ''data'' ''font'' ''stages'' (don't delete your music folder by accident) and replace them with the ones you've downloaded.

I've been up for like 24 hrs sourcing the characters and getting this to run so smooth I hope you all have loads of fun with this everyone!

Here's a video of the bundle in action...

Video: Resident Evil Paintown Mugen Character Pack 2 for PS3 CFW

97w ago - Following up on my previous pack, this is a revision of the original Resident Evil Mugen character pack for PS3 CFW.

It's basically a better put together compilation with the edition of 3 new characters an stages an some sound fx. To install go into multiMAN file manager then go to dev-hdd0 then to game an then to paintown then into usrdir then data then mugen.

Now all you have to do is take the files from the download and put the contents into the folders with the same names in mugen, so the contents of the downloaded folder ''chars'' go into the ''chars'' in your mugen folder in paintown on your hdd...

Now in this revision theres a better fight contact FX, also different colour health bars, and the characters are now... CHRIS , T-103 TYRANT, JILL, RE2 LEON, NEMESIS, HUNK, WESKER AND ZOMBIE CHAOS... check out this YouTube video...

There are also some Resi stages like, Raccoon city street were the floor collapses into the sewer, The underground railway to the hive, The umbrella heliport and the B.O.W Laboratory...

What you should do if you want mugen to run with few bugs an quicker...

97w ago - Hello all you fans of Resi and Paintown, here's a video demonstrating a Resident Evil Paintown Mugen Character Pack for PS3 3.55 CFW users.

A couple of nights ago I was trawling the net looking for some stuff for the homebrew game paintown on the PS3. After downloading the latest version of Paintown (3.6.1) I noticed that Jonny Rafkind had mad some revisions of the mugen part of his side scroller so I mooched around a bit and found loads of mugen characters. On the initial load up there were a few crashes an buggy moments.

So I messed around a bit an came up with this as good as its gonna get (gameplay wise) themed pack of Resident Evil characters, you have jill, chris, wesker, leon, hunk, nemesis and a few zombies. I'm attaching a preview video I made of it in action...

Interview: Dishonored's Harvey Smith Reboots the Stealth Genre

50°
104w ago - Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton interviewed Dishonored's Harvey Smith today who discusses rebooting the stealth genre in video gaming.

Below is the interview, to quote: Outside of PlayStation's own announcements, the indisputable big-buzz game of Gamescom 2012 was Dishonored, the upcoming PS3 first-person stealth adventure from Bethesda.

With relatively low-key showings in Cologne from many of the other major third party publishers, Dishonored really got its chance to shine last week and it duly dazzled all comers.

For the uninitiated, the game puts you in the shoes of wronged assassin Corvo Atano who is framed for the murder of an Empress - his former lover.

You'll be sneaking around a dark, atmospheric steampunk world, combining supernatural powers and a range of weaponry to avenge her death and unmask those who've conspired against you.

To be clear, when we say stealth we don't mean the signposted sneaking of, say, recent Splinter Cell titles. The AI here is unforgivingly old school - more redolent of the likes of Thief.

And that should come as no surprise - co-creator Harvey Smith worked on that series, as well as the original Deus Ex and BioShock precursor System Shock. We caught up with him back stage at Gamescom to learn more about...
