Video: Sega Confirms Yakuza: Dead Souls PS3 Heading to the US

300°
168w ago - Sega of America Associate Brand Manager Aaron Webber has confirmed today alongside a video trailer that Yakuza: Dead Souls on PS3 is heading to the US.

To quote: Greetings Sony fans and Yakuza enthusiasts! Today is an exciting day, both for PS3 gamers and for us here at SEGA - the PS3 exclusive, Yakuza: Dead Souls is coming to the west!

It seems like only yesterday we were all sitting on the edge of our Sony-branded seats, hoping desperately that Yakuza 3 would see the light of day overseas. In the years since, we've seen not only the US release of Yakuza 3, but Yakuza 4, too - and, thanks to the fantastic support of fans and PS3 gamers like you, we're proud to now announce the latest chapter in the Yakuza franchise. What was once Of The End is now Dead Souls!

So, what is Yakuza: Dead Souls all about? I traveled to the top of the mountains and spent two weeks meditating to bring you the answers. In the end, that failed, so I just played the entire game instead.

It was awesome, and in doing so, I found that this game is a mix of:

• Zombies in Tokyo
• Yakuza with guns
• Beautiful Hostesses

And while I'm not able to reveal how much content from the Japanese version is coming over,...

SOE Confirms PayDay: The Heist to Launch on PSN This Month

100°
169w ago - Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) Executive Director of Business Development Chris Sturr has confirmed today that Payday: The Heist is set to launch later this month on PSN.

To quote: Word on the street is that to pull off the biggest score, a heist must be planned and outlined to the very last detail with perfect team members, unbeatable weapons and unrecognizable disguises.

That being said, SOE & OVERKILL Software need a little more time to assemble the ideal squad and attack strategy for our highly anticipated adrenaline-pumping first person shooter, PAYDAY: The Heist.

With this in mind, SOE and the talented OVERKILL team have decided to push PAYDAY's official launch day to later in October, ensuring the overall game quality and potential score for all heist team members.

Not a PAYDAY crew member yet and hoping to get in on the loot? SOE has extended [Register or Login to view links] - which have been excellent to date - to gather an even larger body of potential crew to co-operate with at launch!

For our established crew members, PAYDAY will still be awarded to those who purchased all four PSN titles in our inaugural PlayStation Network PLAY event, according to the terms of that program.

Your continued loyalty and...

Square Enix Confirms Chrono Trigger Hits PSN on October 4, 2011

400°
169w ago - Today Square Eniz Product Manager Charles McCarter has confirmed that Chrono Trigger will be hitting PSN on October 4, 2011 in North America.

To quote: What's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the words "[Register or Login to view links]?" I'm sure a lot of things, but I bet the first thing on your mind right now is "When can I get it?"

We're happy to confirm that Chrono Trigger is coming to the PSN in North America on October 4th. That's right- in just a few days, you'll be able to visit (or re-visit, as I'm sure is the case for many of you) one of the most hilarious and unique casts of characters ever assembled in an RPG:

Crono: The spiky-haired, stoic protagonist who finds himself wrapped up in events beyond his control. He's pretty good with a katana and doesn't run from a fight.

Marle: The requisite princess, but she's no ordinary princess. How many princesses do you know that wield a crossbow?

Lucca: Chrono's best friend since they were little kids. Oh, and she's a supergenius who invents things such as the teleporter that starts your journey through time.

Frog: A knight from the middle ages, Frog is a man who has been cursed and turned into a giant anthropomorphic...

Sony Confirms AT&T Mobility Ruling Spurred New PSN TOS Change

800°
170w ago - Last week we reported that the PSN Terms were updated followed by how to Opt-Out of the new Class Action waiver, and today Sony confirms to CNN (linked above) that the [Register or Login to view links] ([Register or Login to view links]) US Supreme Court ruling earlier this year spurred the recent PlayStation Network TOS change.

To quote: "Sony said this week that the new terms-of-service changes were made, as some analysts suspected, in response to a Supreme Court decision in April. In that case, AT&T Mobility was permitted to include and enforce a clause in employment contracts that bars workers from bringing class-action suits.

"The Supreme Court recently ruled in the AT&T case that language like this is enforceable," a spokeswoman for Sony's PlayStation unit wrote in an e-mail.

"The updated language in the TOS is designed to benefit both the consumer and the company by ensuring that there is adequate time and procedures to resolve disputes."

Like AT&T, Sony prefers...
