6w ago - Crytek Nottingham Game Producer David Stenton announced today alongside a PS4 video trailer that Homefront: The Revolution is coming to PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: On behalf of Crytek Nottingham, I'm incredibly proud to announce our latest title: Homefront: The Revolution!

Some of you may have already heard that Crytek was developing the next Homefront game - we've been working on it for almost three years now - but I don't think anyone suspected just how radically we have overhauled the first person shooter formula this time around.

Homefront: The Revolution is a game about Guerrilla Warfare. We've built upon the core pillars of Crytek's FPS design philosophy - emergent gameplay and player freedom in a sandbox world - to create our most ambitious title to date.

Set in Occupied Philadelphia in a nightmarish near-future dystopia, Homefront: The Revolution casts the player as a civilian-turned-freedom-fighter who must rise up and lead the Resistance against a superior military force and ignite the Second American Revolution.

This is no linear shooter - within the open world structure, you will have to master the art of guerrilla warfare and use use sabotage, assassination, deception, infiltration and hit-and-run to erode your enemy's iron grip...

Video: Aaru's Awakening is Coming to PS4 and PS3 This Summer

6w ago - Lumenox ehf Marketing Director Johann Ingi Gudjonsson announced that Aaru's Awakening is coming to PS4 and PS3 this Summer with a video trailer below!

To quote: When Aaru's Awakening started out as a school project at the University of Reykjavík, we wanted to create an original platformer. The genre is congested, so new ideas are essential. Inspired by the teleportation gun in Unreal Tournament, we came up with the idea of a teleportation themed platformer.

When the project moved from being a mere school project to winning the Icelandic Gaming Industry Game Creator competition - and thus giving us the funding to start a company around the game - we realized that we'd have to do something more than just rely on the teleportation mechanic.

That's when we decided to add the charging mechanic that would serve as a double jump and make certain objects breakable, as it would add fluidity to the game and allow for some intense in-air moments. We also knew that to really grab the attention of gamers we'd have to create an original art style, so the art director proposed we'd do it completely hand drawn.

When implementing the teleportation mechanic we were focused on having it deeply intertwined with the...

Video: Green Lava Studios: Fenix Rage is Coming to PS4 This Year

6w ago - Green Lava Studios CEO Eduardo Ramirez announced today that Fenix Rage is coming to PS4 this year with details and a PlayStation 4 video trailer below.

To quote: It's hard for me to start this blog without saying how incredibly lucky I feel, and I speak for the rest of the Green Lava Studios team of Diego Vasquez and Jose Mora when I say this.

It was only a couple years ago that we debuted our first game prototype on Google Play - it was really simple with hardly any cool visuals, but it served as the backbone of what would become our current game, Fenix Rage.

To read about the official announcement that our hardcore platformer will be launching this Fall on PS4... well, for three guys who grew up in Costa Rica daydreaming about video games, it's just incredible.

As gamers our entire lives, we had a lot of inspirations when creating Fenix Rage. We were - and still are - big fans of Sonic The Hedgehog, and that influence is seen with Fenix's dashing attack as well as some of his animations when near an edge of a platform.

The bright colors and sharp art design is something heavily influenced by Mike Mignolia's Hellboy as well as a cartoon I personally loved from my childhood, SWAT Kats.

Gaijin Announces War Thunder is Coming to PS4 on June 3rd

6w ago - Gaijin Head of PR Alexander Trifonov announced today that War Thunder is coming to PS4 on June 3rd, 2014 with details below.

To quote: For us in Gaijin Entertainment, this new generation of of gaming is all about experimentation and new business models, and War Thunder is a prime example of this: a cross-platform, free-to-play, massively multiplayer historical combat game.

The most important part is that War Thunder is an online game and it evolves constantly. There were several major updates for the PC version of the game since November, including the launch of the Ground Forces expansion pack.

This addition allows players to control armored vehicles such as tanks and anti-air guns which are fighting planes in some of the game modes. This simulates the realities of war where different army branches always supplemented each other in battles.

Our idea was to present PS4 players in North America with the latest version of the game, and today we're proud to announce that War Thunder is coming out on June 3rd and it includes the Ground Forces expansion from the start!

And, of course, all of the other exciting features found in the latest 1.41 version of the game - 350 different planes, squadron battles, 150 different multiplayer missions, and single-player campaigns...

Video: Futuridium EP Deluxe is Coming to PS4, PS Vita This July

6w ago - MixedBag Cofounder Mauro Fanelli announced today alongside a video trailer that Futuridium EP Deluxe is coming to PS4 and PS Vita platforms this July.

Below are the details, to quote: Hi, fellow PlayStation fans. It's time for a little update on Futuridium EP Deluxe, our upcoming fast-paced, retro-inspired, super-colorful shoot-em-up.

The big news, first: we can finally announce that the Futuridium EP Deluxe will launch on PS4 and PS Vita in July.

The precise launch day is still to be determined, but you'll definitely be able to blast tons of cubes and blow up giant space dreadnoughts this Summer. So hold tight - the wait is almost over!

Futuridium is our first console game, and let's just say we got a bit carried away and we took our time to add lots of new features and a massive amount of exclusive content. At the heart of the Deluxe edition is the brand new Deluxe mode - a massive campaign featuring 50 different levels divided in five zones, with five bosses and five bonus areas.

There are no extra power-ups in Futuridium; you can only count on your skills. But to better equip you against the all-new odds you'll encounter in deep space, we added a turbo mode to your starship (How generous!)....
