Rumor: Capcom's Devil May Cry 5 to be Revealed at E3 '09 for Wii

200°
271w ago - Another rumor to spark up your interest for the already much-ado'd E3: Capcom is presenting Devil May Cry 5 at the said event.

Remember that full E3 line-up plus two mystery games released a couple of weeks ago? Well, rumor has it that the other mystery title is DMC5.

According to Curious Gamer, this iteration of the DMC franchise will not only head to the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, but will also be showing up on the Nintendo Wii.

Also, their source says that attendees of E3 may look forward to a 1:32-minute long teaser trailer - quite short for eager fans, but it ought to be informative nonetheless as the release date will be shown in it too.

Again, this stands as rumor for now, though. We expect to hear something official from Capcom now that the buzz is out.

The first revealed mystery title turned out to be Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.

Report: Capcom is Working on More PS3 Than XBox 360 Games

250°
272w ago - In a follow-up to Capcom's latest fiscal reports, they've released a chart showing how many games they've released last year as well as how many they'll be releasing this year and next.

The numbers predict that they'll be releasing fifteen PlayStation 3 games this year and twelve Xbox 360 games this year. Following up in 2010, Capcom will be releasing thirteen PlayStation 3 games and twelve Xbox 360 games.

This is odd, considering Capcom is a multiplatform developer. What could these extra PlayStation 3 games be?

Perhaps one of them is of the two new titles to be announced at E3 2009? Mega Man Legends 3, maybe (hopefully)?

We'll have to wait and see... feel free to speculate below.

Capcom to Lean on Sony's PS3 for Software Sales

272w ago - The latest [Register or Login to view links] from Capcom revealed that they will be leaning on the PlayStation 3 in this fiscal year.

To quote: The third-party company expects to sell a combined 4.9 million software units with 10 new PlayStation 3 titles plan for the fiscal year of 2009-2010. This is way higher than the previous year in which the eight Capcom games on the PlayStation 3 sold a combined 1.75 million units.

In comparison, Capcom expects the Xbox 360 to sell 4.55 million units of software with 11 new titles during the same period. Despite having more new titles (14) than the other two the Nintendo Wii is only predicted to sell 2.20 million units, which seems a little low since Monster Hunter 3 should be released before March 31, 2010.

Sony also got the upper hand on the competition in the handheld market. Capcom expects to sell 2.45 million units of software on the PSP over the span of eight new titles. Capcom is only planning for the Nintendo DS to sell 2.1 million units despite releasing 29 new titles on it over the same period.

273w ago - Last night, Resident evil fans got a glimmer of hope that a remake or re-release of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis was heading to Wii.

According to Capcom's Press Site, Resident Evil 3 was listed as coming to Wii along side the confirmed title 'The Darkside Chronicles'.

However, those with access to the Capcom press site will be able to tell you this listing includes artwork from the original Resident Evil remake coming to Wii.

Christian Svensson from Capcom has also denined the rumors of a re-release of Resident Evil 3: "It's either a shop or a typo. False rumor."

So there you have it. No Resident Evil 3 remake on the Wii. Let's just keep dreaming...
