278w ago - Akop has updated his Sinclair Spectrum emulator for the PlayStation Portable today.
For those not aware, the Sinclair Spectrum was released in the UK in 1982 and become one of the most popular computer systems at the time. It's an 8-bit computer that runs on Sinclair BASIC which was a deviation of the BASIC programming language. As always, the changelog is detailed below.
290w ago - Sony Computer Entertainment is none too thrilled over the fact that online retailer King of Swords is selling an unofficial replica of the Beretta M92F gun featured in PlayStation 3 title Uncharted.
According to a company spokesperson, they will be taking "appropriate" measures against the Web site very soon:
The Drake's Gun is not licensed or in any way sanctioned by SCE and one we certainly do not condone.
We are investigating the source of this product and will proceed with the most appropriate action.
It's worth pointing out that this same retailer is also selling a number of unlicensed swords from the Final Fantasy series.
291w ago - Konami have revealed that you will be able to unlock an Altair Assassin's Creed outfit for Snake in MGS4. It was seen in a video earlier this year, but was presumed to be an April Fool's joke.
To quote: Snake running around MGS4 dressed as Altair, looking for all the world like it was actually in the game... so would it surprise you to hear that it wasn't really a gag? Yeah, that's right.
It was announced at the MGS4 wrap party today that MGS4 players will indeed be able to unlock an Assassin's Creed outfit for Snake (we won't tell you how), which were it not for the silver moustache and trademark cigarette would have you thinking Altair himself had time-travelled his way into the final Metal Gear title.
292w ago - Air support in 3 seconds? It's easy! See the carnage in our chaotic video, and find out how to do it yourself!
Want to call in air support in under 10 seconds? Want to level up your character in the least amount of time? You don't need to bother with lame aim bots that'll get you banned from your favorite servers. In fact, you don't even need to be that good at Call of Duty 4.
Racking up ridiculous kill streaks can be easy if you're playing under the right conditions. Head to the server "=OG= 24/7 Shipment SlaughterHouse" (their IP address is 69.3115.39:29460). This server supports up to 53 players on CoD 4's tiniest map, Shipment.
There'll be lots of incoming fire and grenades flying at you from the second you hop in, so expect to die a lot. Get out of harm's way as soon as possible and grab a sweet spot where you can crouch near cover or lie prone with a clear view of any of the map's spawn points. For a brief moment, even the clumsiest player can rack up an impressive kill streak in no time.
Is it cheesy to blast away at a spawn point with a steady stream of helpless traffic? Most definitely. But it's also a blast - especially if you're in the mood for a break from the usual rotations of maps...
