New Media Manager 3.0 for PlayStation Portable Released!

Today we are launching a new version of Media Manager for the PSP that allows you to organize and sync your music, photos and other digital content.

The new media manager also grants access to the PlayStation Store through the PC and is designed to accommodate the expanding functionality of PSP. With the recent PSP firmware (v 5.01) update which gives you direct access to the PlayStation Store and the new media manager you have multiple ways to get content and manage it.

Here's a brief walk-thru of the PlayStation Store accessed via the Media Manager on the PC.





Consumers who own the retail version of Media Manager (v2.5) will be able to upgrade to the online version of Media Manager PRO (v3.0) for free.

Qore's UK Counterpart Dubbed 'Official PlayStation Magazine HD'

About The Role: This is a key role on Official PlayStation Magazine HD, a new weekly paid-for download delivered direct to PS3 owners via the PlayStation Network Store. Future is working with Sony on the project, which will contain hi-def video, game demos and other content. This is your chance to be part of something key to Future's digital development.

As Content Producer you will oversee the weekly production of Official PlayStation Magazine HD. You will liaise with Sony and third party publishers to ensure the constant throughput of digital materials and negotiate timed exclusives on content.

Managing the workflow of the Assistant Producer and Video Editor, you will need to ensure each weekly edition is submitted within the deadline. You will source and manage voice talent, including overseeing voiceover recording sessions. Alongside this you will need to work closely the magazine team to obtain exclusive assets and to create scripts and captions.

Sony Talks Firmware: What's in Store for PSP and PlayStation 3

For answers, we turn to Munechika Nishida, who posted his latest Random Tracking column to Impress Watch over the weekend.

This time around, the well-connected technology writer managed to get commentary from Naoya Matsui, Koujiro Umemura, Masaki Takase, and Shinji Noda, all high ranking Sony Computer Entertainment employees directly responsible for firmware and network issues regarding the PS3 and PSP.

The column first recapped some of the major points of the recent firwmare updates, with particular attention given to the inclusion of Flash 9 support in the PS3. This was a heavily requested feature, said Matsui, with Japanese fans hoping to view videos from Nico Nico Video, a Japanese version of YouTube.

Sony has actually been working on Flash 9 support for quite some time -- as far back as late last year. To get it running on the PS3, Sony ended up customizing a separate Flash implementation that was provided to it by Adobe.
