Video: PlayStation Home Halloween Event and Updates Incoming

50°
201w ago - PlayStation Home Online Community Specialist Locust_Star has announced news of a Playstation Home Halloween Event, as well as Saw, Bleach, and Heavy Strike updates that are all incoming this week.

To quote: On Thursday, October 21st, Lord Pumpkinhead (aka "the Demon Gourd from Hell") will appear In the middle of PlayStation Home's Central Plaza, his gigantic glowing face sneering like an intolerant king at his unworthy subjects, rotating so that all can bear witness to his glorious image.

As an offering to your pumpkin overlord, you and your friends must toss coins into his mouth as it rotates past. Make a proper offering, and the exalted one will reward you as one of his followers. Fail in your tithing efforts, and you will anger the ever-powerful Lord Pumpkinhead, hindering your chances of entering the Demon Gourd's fold.

Legend has it that Lord Pumpkinhead has additional rewards for his most loyal subjects. Can you ascend to the ranks of his chosen few?

Speaking of Halloween festivities, this week our friends over at Heavy Water release their first pieces in the "Heavy Pets" line of items for your personal space. Celebrate Halloween properly by visiting the Furniture store (or the Central Plaza kiosk) in the PlayStation...

European PSN Game Store Updates for October 20, 2010

50°
201w ago - SCEE PlayStation Store Manager Mike Kebby is here with this weeks European PSN game store updates today, as follows:

This week's update is going to be a bit different to previous weeks; it'll be a bit more personal than usual... though I'll go into more detail after discussing this week's content.

Tim Schafer's latest creation Costume Quest hits the store this week, and it's the perfect title for unleashing your inner child and embracing Halloween with pure unadulterated joy (that you would usually get scorned for as an adult).

No matter how I try and describe this title I'll most likely do it a disservice, so just check it out and make up your own mind (Ed: you could also watch the video interview with Tim and Tasha Harris here).

Swords and Soliders also joins the ranks this week, and any game that can say (taken straight from the marketing material) "blend ninja monkeys, attacking Aztecs and brutal Vikings with everything you love about real time strategy games and you've got Swords and Soldiers" must be worth a look, right?

Not only does this game have local and online multiplayer, it also supports 3D too, so definitely something for you with swanky 3D TVs to be taking a look at.

The rest of the content is, as ever, listed...
