288w ago - Creat Studios Producer Olga Sokolova shared the following today via PS Blog:

Magic Ball (available today, January 15 for $9.99 on the PS Store) is another addictive game from [Register or Login to view links] and [Register or Login to view links] and it's filled with fast action, great humor and giggle-inducing fun.

While the game doesn't have an overall storyline like Cuboid, we have created comedic scenes for each level - so in a way, each level has its own little story! Each of the scenes is divided between two visual themes - Pirates and Knights - and each theme has its own mini-story scenes.

Magic Ball boasts a vast number of trophies that players can try and achieve - each of the trophies requires the player to overcome a specific challenge. It was a blast trying to come up with the trophies, and we tried to keep a lot of them consistent with the humorous themes of Magic Ball.

For example, we have the "25 in a row" trophy where you need to complete 25 levels in a row and several "Goodbye Cruel World" trophies where the player needs to pick up 5 skulls while completing the level.

One of the strategic elements of Magic Ball is the...

YouTube TV for PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii Game Consoles!

50°
288w ago - Have you ever wanted to just sit on your couch and watch YouTube on your TV? Well, now that's possible via YouTube for Television, initially available through the Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii game consoles at [Register or Login to view links].

Currently in beta, the TV Website offers a dynamic, lean-back, 10-foot television viewing experience through a streamlined interface that enables you to discover, watch and share YouTube videos on any TV screen with just a few quick clicks of your remote control.

With enlarged text and simplified navigation, it makes watching YouTube on your TV as easy and intuitive as possible. Optional auto-play capability enables users to view related videos sequentially, emulating a traditional television experience.

The TV Website is available internationally across 22 geographies and in over 12 languages.

As [Register or Login to view links], YouTube has partnered directly with major TV and set-top box manufacturers to bring YouTube into the living room. Still, very few such devices today contain a Web browser or provide access to YouTube.

Our hope is that this site may help to accelerate an industry evolution towards open television access to Web video. Over time, we plan...

Here is What the PlayStation 3's Dress Looks Like

350°
288w ago - Sony introduced 'Dress' to Japanese PlayStation 3 owners today, the fashion application that allows users to design new clothing and dress up their avatars - for a price, of course. How does it look?

Well, the clothing looks good, considering Sony has partnered with real-life brands like Puma and Beams to give Dress users ready-to-wear goods that are already successful in the real world.

Sony also gives Dress purchasers the option to lay out their own designs using pre-made stencils and assets from PlayStation brands like The Last Guy and Aquanaut's Holiday. There are even a couple of built-in mini-games that will let Dress owners unlock new wearable goods.

It was originally planned to integrate with PlayStation Home, but plans for sharing outfits between the two applications looks like it's still up in the air.

Sony: PlayStation 3 is Still in the Early Adopter Phase

200°
288w ago - The PlayStation 3 is "still in its early adopter phase", Sony has claimed, despite the console being out for over two years.

Speaking in an [Register or Login to view links] with Gamasutra, John Koller, director of hardware marketing at SCEA, said that the kind of person who was interested in the PS3 was "tech-oriented" and that for them, the console's main appeal was its "multi-functionality".

Sony's PS3 has come under fire from a number of analysts in recent months, many of whom have pointed towards its high price as explanation of its current third place sales position behind the Nintendo Wii and the Xbox 360.

Sony, for its part, has continued to resist calls for a price cut, pointing towards the PS3's high-value as a Blu-ray player and powerful games machine.

What do you think about Koller's comments on PS3? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
