290w ago - Capcom's John Diamonon announced today that Flock! is now available on Sony's PSN, to quote:

I want to set the record straight because I'm not one to hide from anything. We will NOT, I repeat, NOT be charging for extra animals in FLOCK!

Yes, the game will be complete with all the sheep, roosters, pigs and cows you can herd to your heart's desire.

So the wait is over. FLOCK! finally lands on PSN today. Here's what you can expect:

•Over 50 levels of intense flocking action!
• Level creating, sharing and rating!
• Trial mode! (Basically a demo with an in-game purchase option) Trophies!
• In game XMB music support!
• Two player local co-op!
• Cow poop!
• Flies on cow poop!
• Pigs rolling on cow poop with flies!
• UFOs and a Motherflocker!
• A $14.99 price point.
• Commenters complaining about said price point!
• Gamers purchasing FLOCK and exclaiming that it's totally worth it!
• More harassment about trophy support for previously released games!
• Shameless cameo appearance by Blanka from Street Fighter!
• Many more surprises and prizes!

I want to congratulate last week's contest...

Sony's PlayStation 3 Outsells the Nintendo Wii in Japan

200°
290w ago - Sony's PlayStation 3 has outsold Nintendo's Wii console in Japan for the first time in 16 months.

To quote: Last month, Sony shifted 146,948 units of the PS3 compared to 99,335 Wiis, reported publishing firm Enterbrain.

While some suggest it could signal the end of Nintendo's dominance, others think it is unlikely that the PS3 will threaten the Wii's popularity globally.

Meanwhile, Nintendo's revamped DSi console sold 92,000 units in the UK during its first weekend of sales. It makes it the fourth biggest ever console launch.

Experts see the dominance of the PS3 during March as a temporary blip rather than a sign of Nintendo's decline.

Microsoft however only shifted 43,172 units of its Xbox 360 during the same period. Games such as Resident Evil 5 and the latest version of action adventure Ryu Ga Gotoku 3 are credited with driving demand for the PS3 in Japan.

But Wii sales remain extremely buoyant. During March global sales of Nintendo's Wii console passed 50 million, making the Wii the fastest-selling games console in history, surpassing the PlayStation 2.

"PS3 hardware sales picked up due to brisk-selling software. But I don't see any drastic change in the industry landscape," Okasan Securities analyst Masashi Morita told the AFP news...

Three Speech Making Way for a New EU PlayStation Blog

50°
290w ago - Sony's semi-official blog 'Three Speech' is to be overtaken by an Official EU PlayStation Blog, in similar fashion to the official North American [Register or Login to view links].

To quote: As of April the 17th Three Speech will be bowing out to make way for a brand new and shiny EU PlayStation blog.

It's your feedback, comments and suggestions that have made this possible, so you should all be very proud! Obviously both Three Speech and SCE UK are very grateful to everyone who has made this site so busy and lively over the past two and half years.

Your input has really helped PlayStation to grow, and the new blog will be a further way for you to contribute ideas. It's been good fun meeting all of you and we're looking forward to seeing you on the EU blog!

We'll have more info on this over the next few days...
