MLB 09 The Show - New and Improved A.I. for PlayStation 3

100°
287w ago - Gameplay and Animation Senior Producer Chris Gill shows off some of the new and improved A.I. for MLB 09 The Show today as follows:

Realism is THE most important thing to use here on the MLB 09 The Show team. Year in and year out, with a development team that has a wealth of baseball knowledge, not only as fans of the game but development members that have actually played the game at very high levels, we dedicate ourselves to making the most realistic baseball experience possible.

That being said, there were a few things about last year's game that were a bit frustrating and not as realistic as we would have liked. As much as we would like to tackle every idea out there, we strategically have to pick and choose our battles.

This year we decided to work on a little bit of everything, so today I'm going to highlight four of them.

1. CPU Fielder routes to the ball
In our quest to make the perfect baseball simulation, balancing the game can be a long difficult task. In order for our batters to reach the correct amount of doubles and triples in our game, we needed a couple things to happen.

The batter needs to get out of the box appropriately, round the bases correctly, and have his true-to-life times...

Confirmed: Tales of Vesperia Coming to Sony's PlayStation 3

200°
287w ago - According to the latest Famitsu Issue, Tales of Vesperia will be coming to the PS3 with extra content.

To quote, roughly translated: Namco Bandai has released a PDF on its website in Japanese, among other things, a list of projects that the company intends to launch the Japanese market over the year 2008.

The big surprise we found in the Tales of Vesperia, a title that was announced so far as Xbox 360 exclusive, but according to this list will also come to PlayStation 3.

Probably is a similar kind of exclusivity to the Eternal Sonata, a title which despite having been announced yet reached the market.

The rest of the list includes Soul Calibur IV (PS3, 360), Afro Samurai (PS3, 360), Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 (PS2), a Dragon Ball DS, Super Robot Wars Z (PS2), Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit ( PS3, 360), Family Trainer (Wii), Taiko: Drum Master (Wii), a new release of the Tales of series... para DS, Naruto (PS3) y Gundam (PSP). DS, Naruto (PS3) and Gundam (PSP).

Portable games are still entitled to be determined, it will have to wait for further announcements to know what we will be preparing Namco Bandai for the coming months.

Hi, everyone, we have a system software updates for PS3 coming soon, and I wanted to provide you with a sneak peak at the details.

The PS3 firmware update (v2.60) is designed primarily to enhance the system's media capabilities. The key feature is a new Photo Gallery application, which delivers a suite of tools for sorting through and displaying your digital photo collection.

Digital pictures can be organized in groups according to various criteria, including the camera used to take the photos, the event date and time, colors in the photos, as well as the number, ages, or facial expressions of the people pictured.

Here's a video walk-through of firmware 2.60 that shows off some of what the Photo Gallery can do.

You can also create slideshows set to music and build photo playlists with an easy-to-use interface. The Photo Gallery application will need to be installed separately from the XMB after you update your PS3's firmware.

To install the Photo Gallery application, go to the Photo section on the XMB, select Photo Gallery and press the X button.
