To quote: We don't know a specific date for its release in Japan, but I think if this is what Square Enix is offering for PlayStation 3 owners after nearly three years in the game, then they should cough up some more.

I'm talking about more Final Fantasy Versus XIII information and a freakin' announcement for Kingdom Hearts III.

50°
279w ago - Sony's Product Marketing Manager Rob Alvarez has announced that BUZZ! is heading to PlayStation Home.

To quote: We're going to launch a brand new space in PlayStation Home called BUZZ! HQ, where players can chat and meet up with other trivia fans in a new lobby area or take part in a massive 64-player BUZZ! trivia showdown!

The game works by making you run around the studio on a massive BUZZ! Buzzer to answer questions, all of which are taken from the best content that you've created on the [Register or Login to view links] Web site.

Four colored answer buttons are laid out on the floor and you need to make sure you're standing on the right answer when the time runs out.

The winner's decided over four rounds, and there are a number of exclusive Home prizes up for grabs for the greatest players.

We are very excited to be bringing a fantastic new BUZZ! multiplayer game to Home and we know this is going to be a great social experience.

So keep an eye out for the new BUZZ! space, which will go live very soon. In the meantime, check out this virtual tour of the space and let us know what you think.

279w ago - Natsume announced today that they are bringing the PS3 title Afrika to North America this fall finally.

To quote: Developed by Rhino Studios, Afrika is a photography simulator with adventure elements.

Boasting licenses from Sony and National Geographic (to name a few), Afrika places you in the vast African wilderness as you attempt to capture images of the various animals and plants with your trusty camera.

Afrika is divided into several different modes, though all of them revolve around the "one with nature" design theme. The Safari mode is divvied into three parts: the Safari Game, the Photo Gallery and the Big Game Trophy mode. The GEO Afrika section of the game is also split into three segments: the Afrika Field Guide, the National Geographic Library and the Afrika Viewer.

The Safari Game is the bread and butter of the Afrika experience. In it, you'll choose between a male or female photographer and set up a large tent in the African wild, which serves as your base of operations. Here, you can sort through your various cameras and lenses, study maps of the surrounding environments and check your PC for email and more.

Emails are the key to accepting missions in Afrika, and missions are the primary gameplay component of the experience. You'll be tasked with pursing...

279w ago - Today Sony's Associate Product Marketing Manager TJ Consunji has announced the Killzone 2 Patch 1.27 details for PlayStation 3, as follows:

This week sees the release of Patch 1.27, which introduces a number of tweaks based on direct feedback from the Killzone community. We sat down with Eric Boltjes, Guerrilla's Lead Multiplayer Designer, to walk us through the most important changes and the reasons for their implementation.

First of all, Eric, can you run us through the highlights of Patch 1.27?

Sure! Most importantly, we've added functionality to make the process of finding and playing with friends much easier, tweaked the Skirmish Mode to keep it interesting for players with lower-bandwidth network connections, introduced a new 'High Precision' option to the controller configuration menu, and improved the overall balance of the game. There's also a host of smaller changes as well, but I'll save that for the change log.

Let's start with the first one: finding and playing with friends. How has that been changed?

We've examined how party systems work and added similar functionality to our game where possible. The 'Join Friend' option has been changed so that the player can automatically join a friend's faction and squad -...
