Video: Fight Night Round 4 Legacy Mode for PlayStation 3

100°
279w ago - Fight Night Round 4 drops next week for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but G4TV has already been putting the game through its paces.

In the video below they show off the game's improved "Legacy Mode", which starts off with the boxer's first amateur tournament and follows him throughout his entire career.

You can also elect to play this mode as one of the real world boxers, by the way.

To quote from the video's caption: We take Fight Night Round 4's improved Legacy Mode for a spin in the (almost) first 15 minutes of the game. We skip character creation and the first two fights to bring you the semi-finals and finals for the first tournament.

Namco Museum Essentials Coming to PlayStation Home in July

100°
279w ago - Japan's Namco Museum Essentials is crossing the pond to America's PlayStation Network this July.

The downloadable app will serve as a hub for various Namco arcade games, such as Pac-man, Galaga, Dig Dug, Dragon Spirit, Xevious, and a new 1080p "re-envisioned" Xevious: Resurrection.

In addition to the standard features (trophies, leaderboards), players will be able to unlock PlayStation Home rewards to proudly display in their virtual apartments.

To quote: Namco Bandai will also be launching a new destination within PlayStation Home simultaneously with the release of Museum Essentials.

It will serve as the hub for all of Namco Bandai's upcoming downloadable games and will include a virtual arcade featuring a trial version of Museum Essentials.

In addition to the free demo, PlayStation Home items can be unlocked for those who visit the space. All in all, it looks as though Home fans (casual and hardcore) will have a lot to look forward to.

Introducing Unbound Saga for Sony's PlayStation Portable

100°
279w ago - Today [Register or Login to view links]'s Senior Producer Mike Kennedy has introduced Unbound Saga for Sony's PSP console, as follows:

Unbound Saga is an old-school, arcade-style brawler that puts you in the shoes of Rick Ajax, a surly comic book tough guy trapped in a world of endless trouble.

The thing is, he knows he's a comic book character, and after 30 years of dealing with one ridiculous plotline after another, he's had about enough. So you get to take him on an epic adventure to escape the pages of the comic in search of The Maker, the mysterious entity responsible for his daily misadventure.

So why make it a brawler? Well, aside from the logical activity perpetuated by the lead character, we frankly couldn't get enough brawlers growing up in the 8-bit and 16-bit days, and there doesn't seem to be enough of 'em coming out any more these days. We were hooked on games like Streets of Rage, Final Fight, TMNT Arcade, X-men Arcade, Captain American and The Avengers, etc.

They were colorful, visceral, over-the-top, and tons of fun. The gameplay was easily accessible, with simple to understand controls – Punch, Kick, Grab, Throw – that could be strung together to pull off easy-to-execute combinations.

There were no blocks,...

100°
280w ago - Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein is back, this time with a Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 E3 2009 video for the PlayStation 3 console, as follows:

Towards the tail end of E3, Team Ninja chief Yosuke Hayashi took time to chat (through a translator, as will be readily apparent) about [Register or Login to view links]'s other upcoming PS3-exclusive, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (Quantum is the other).

Yes, I realize E3 ended nearly 2 weeks ago, but editing a video translated from Japanese is its own special brand of fun.

Also, this is technically still the latest info about Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, as it hasn't been shown since. Enjoy!

New Features in Comet Crash on PlayStation Network Detailed

50°
280w ago - Today Pelfast Producer Jennifer Pourchot has detailed some new Comet Crash features on PlayStation Network.

To quote: We are pleased to announce that some exciting updates are now available in our first patch.

First, you will notice the new Video Record feature. You can now record gameplay videos to the hard drive or upload directly to your YouTube account. Comet Crash games can be incredibly unique, so I'm looking forward to seeing your videos.

In addition, we added country flags to the scoreboard. You'll have to beat your existing score to get a flag up there. Notice that scores with flags stand out amongst the others, so get them while they're hot!

There are a few other changes as well. You can read more details in the [Register or Login to view links].
