Video: PSN Exclusive Spelunker Coming to US on PlayStation 3

277w ago - The PSN remake of Spelunker is ready to explore the dark, cavernous recesses of your console when it makes its way to America, courtesy of Tozai.

[Register or Login to view links] reports that the NES game has been updated with "new graphics, and a 6-player online cooperative mode."

To quote: Spelunker HD can be played with both classic and updated graphics.

Unlike most PSN games, the game includes a Platinum Trophy. Depending on how Tozai prices the US release, this may be one of the cheapest Platinums ever.

Video: Open Casting Call for 'The Tester' of PlayStation Games

277w ago - PlayStation Network Executive Producer Kevin Furuichi shared a video today of a new original program that will be created for the PlayStation Network called "The Tester."

To quote: Want a chance to work for PlayStation? Do you have the skills and determination to work as a game tester?

This series of programs will follow a group of select gamers as they face-off in a series of elimination challenges designed to test their mental toughness, endurance, and video game knowledge as they compete for a job working as a PlayStation game tester.

The winner of the new show gets a job working for PlayStation's Quality Assurance department in San Diego, CA and gets the opportunity to work on some of the best PlayStation games.

Open casting for the series begins today.





If you're interested, complete the online casting submission form and upload a short video explaining why you're the perfect contestant for "The Tester" at [Register or Login to view links].

What's the catch? It will only be available from September 3 through September 6, 2009 and to obtain it users simply have to watch the latest Gundam Senki trailer in the Home theater.

To quote: "Namco Bandai continued with its PlayStation Home festival of Gundam today with the availability of additional free avatar costumes.

Today's clothing offering is for a female version of the Federation soldier clothing. This will be available from September 3 through September 6. To obtain it, all you'll have to do is watch the latest Gundam Senki trailer in the Home theater.
