Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for PlayStation 3 Arrives on PSN Today!

100°
276w ago - Today Capcom's John Diamonon has announced that Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for PlayStation 3 is hitting PSN, to quote:

It's my pleasure to announce that Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 arrives on PSN today for only $14.99. (Take that eBay!).

Marvel was nice enough to provide an exclusive offer to the PSN faithful. The first 15,000 purchasers of the full game will receive a code for a free one month subscription to Marvel Digital Comics! If you are one of the lucky ones, you'll receive an email sometime early next week with your redemption code.

Wait, there's more. Since I know you all have mixed feelings about the original Jazz soundtrack, we decided to implement in-game XMB music so you can choose what tracks you listen to while executing your 100-hit DHCs on unsuspecting n00bs. "I'm gonna take you for a ride. I'm gonna take you for a ride. I'm gonna take you for a ride."

Speaking of music, we collaborated with some of hip hop's true artists to come up with a mix tape inspired by the game. The soundtrack includes songs from Talib Kweli, Raekwon, Hieroglyphics, Living Legends, E-40, Planet Asia, Havoc from Mobb Deep, Mc Supernatural, DJ Qbert, Oh No, DJ Toure and more. If you were lucky enough to go to Comic-Con a few weeks ago and snag one of the super limited vinyls we...

276w ago - Today the official SOCOM blog (linked above) has shared some new details on the upcoming patch 1.5 update.

Per Cindy Bowens, to quote:

We are happy to announce that SOCOM: Confrontation Update 1.50 is in its final stages of QA testing and we expect the update to be ready for release in the next week or two.

Due to the extensive list of new features and the amount of content in this update, it has taken longer than expected to finish up the QA process. We appreciate your patience and we are very happy to be getting this update to you.

After Update 1.50 is released, it will be followed by Update 1.60 which will include free downloadable content. We will be providing you more information on that update and the DLC pack in the coming weeks.

We hope you will enjoy the new features that Update 1.50 brings and again, we thank you for your patience!

Sony's Life With PlayStation Gets 'World Heritage' Channel Added

100°
276w ago - Today Sony has updated Life with PlayStation by adding a completely new channel titled 'World Heritage' to it.

It's a simple update, as the channel includes information from various Web sites (including Wikipedia) from multiple areas around the world.

To quote: If you leave your controller for a long enough time, it automatically begins spinning the globe (like the other channels) and displays hi-res pictures from the areas you're hovering above about.

If you would like to see a picture from a designated area, then you can hover the country, hit 'X' and then press the 'start' button.

An overall nice addition to the free application, allowing many Life with PlayStation fans to do even more while helping the common good.
